T-26's OP
So im new and currently use a Panz III J and I was second on the ladder and all of the sudden I open the scoreboard to see a T-26 doubled my score. After I lost all my tanks I spec'd him and he was just driving along with 3 tanks firing and it didnt seem to phase him. Why is a reserve tank so OP?

A good player at such a low BR can easily wreak havoc on the enemy team.

A good player yes, but this guy was doing stupid things such as drive past enemy tanks without even shooting them. He wasn't a good player by skill I think it's to do with the tank he was in and how it can manage to not be damaged by shots that should've been in weak spots?

My tanks were killed early on since I was PTFOing heavily.

But I dont understand how a T-26 can withstand such attacks.

Sounds like he was just lucky. I had to look up the tank to make sure you were talking about the right one lol. I never thought i'd see a thread calling this thing op. It's honestly a terrible tank. You can even shoot it with a machine gun to kill it and if you hit it in it's direct center of mass, it instantly gets destroyed.

Also, remember that the T-26 has a 45mm gun like most early Russian tanks, and as a result can do a lot of damage if it penetrates.

But its supposed to be weak asf. In a close situation where there isnt really a terrain or position advantage the tank that usually has better aim and overall a better tank is gonna win. In this situation he was in that exact same thing that I jst described and didnt die.

There's also the T-26E, which has applique armor liberally applied everywhere, that may have been the reason it survived.

That being said, the T-26 is stupidly easy to faceroll people in if you know how to use it, the fact that the gun is as good as it is only helps.

Basically this ^. It's easy to destroy people with it if you learn how to use it, but if you know how to destroy it, it will suck for the T-26 player.

Im sure it was the premium t-26. Sometimes i think about buying it for killing dozen of noobs in low br battles, but my coscience says No.

T-26 can be used as a sniper. Dat gun is not a joke. Moves a bit slow, though. If it moved fast like da BT-7, IMAGINE THE G-O-D-D-A-M-N HAVOC, mate.

Either the people shooting at him were terrible shots, or they were shooting modules/crew positions that were already broken/dead. I.E. - not aiming properly.

The T-26 isn't OP at all. It has its props and cons.
