Matilda. Seems one of the most useless tanks in game, at least for it's BR.

Honestly. Its slower than a KV1 at best. And the designers are brain dead and left a huge weakness on the front with next to no armor. The tank crawls at such a pathetic pace, just to be weaker than most medium tanks in armor, it's a tragedy.

Also as with most heavy tanks, the cannon is much weaker than mediums in it's BR.

Guys, it's just an easy walk compared with upcoming Churchill Gun Carrier - that one has no turret while being even slower than Matilda. You kind of have to endure and... besides, just use cruiser tanks to grind through the lower levels. Starting with Comet/normal Churchill it should be all fine, so it's just a bit of hardships left. Relax! ;-)

The backwards facing tank was one I COMPLETELY avoided. I played it once for about 1m34s seconds until I was killed and vowed never again. Never needed either of those tanks to level to T4 easily.

The devs didin't design the tank, the British military did. The tank was designed as an infantry support tank, not a tank that would zip back and forth on the battlefeild quickly. It was meant to move up with infantry and give them more firepower. Its kind of like how an APC works except soldiers can't be packed inside it. And you may think it sucks but its gun is actually pretty decent and from my experience using it, it can take a decent ♥♥♥♥ kicking before it dies.

You must be versus people who can't see the glaring wide open armor. Also I didn't complain about the design of the tank other than the moronic armor on the front. However it should not be 3.0. It is garbage at that BR.

Like all other vehicles in the game, Gaijin didn't design them. They just adjust the batte ratings to ensure the vehicle will be competitive, which is exactly what the Matilda is not.

That's odd. The thing can eat shells left and right. Can at times live a whole match on the front line with little or no damage other than tracks. But it's cannon is a bit weak. But that's it's only weakness other than slow acceleration. It's speed once it gets going isn't actually bad.

Yeah im not that guy likes being a unkillable thing with a gun that cant kill anything that easily.

I love the Matilda in World Of Tanks due to it´s outreagous fire rate. I wanted to research the Matilda here also but after reading all these comments it doesn´t seem to rule the battlefields in WT, huh?

It's not to be. It's slow, poorly armed, and not very well armoured.. for it's Battle rating at least. It is a nice looking tank despite those other points.

Being slow isn´t an issue for me, i´m more the chilled kind of guy which doesn´t has the need for speed, lol. No doubt, that the Matilda is a nice looking vehicle but unfortunally just looking good doesn´t help to win any battle^^.

If only eh.. nah speed isn't an issue, but as an example the Churchills can be such a slog to use, being slow and quite boring. They're well armoured and fun to use the first few times but my they become monotomous quickly, which is why having decent speed is kind of important for having fun imo.

I would if only it didn't have a glaring weak armor on the FRONT for a 3.0 BR HEAVY TANK. Comes with all the bad of a heavy tank... but not the good (armor).
