why everytime it updates for me the client takes up all of my bandwidth I can literally do nothing else internet related when this sht is doing stuff

because by default the launcher (which basically is a p2p torrent client) will use all available upload and download bandwidth. you can limit both the upload and download bandwidth in the launcher settings (wrench icon in the top right corner of the launcher).

to further reduce the 'load' on your system you may also disable the p2p related options in the launcher settings (use DHT, tracker and peer exchange).

also if the 'seed after download' option is ticked the launcher will upload / seed the game files as long as the launcher is open (and with this option being enabled it will as well upload / seed every time you start it even when there is no patch)

it's pretty ruthless I ended up rage uninstalling. I'll try to tweak it
