So the p-51 just feels like fail every time against any other nation.
Most I ever got was 2 kills in it, and that was only because I was up against rookies.
Plane is awesome if you know how to fly it, and most importantly, if you take your time with it.
There are quite a few youtubers that have a video on it, how to properly fly it etc., and mostly all of them love the plane. Wonder why huh? ;)
There's a big difference between a guy posting the one or two good games he's ever had in a plane and the plane being matched up equally with it's competition.
The American planes, by and large, are epic failures vs any other nations planes. The only exception is the P47D...and that's because of it's low BR.
Oddly, the P47 has roughly the same capabilities at BR 3.3 that the P51D-10 has at BR 4.7.
It's laughable.
We've had this debate lots of times on forums. There will always be cry babies who can't do shi* with the plane, and there will be others that can't praise it enough.
IMO, plane is awesome. And speaking of, so are other US fighters.
Either learn to fly them. Or don't play US at all. Simple.
First five/ten minutes of a game is climb, the rest is chasing everybody else down to the ground after they run.
It's not a bad plane if played the way it was meant to be played, but as others have said others in the same tier do the job better because of the conditions of the fight.
What's more, it's pretty discouraging to spend the first 10 minutes of the game flying up to 22,000 feet, turning, and seeing 5 109 F4's and a few G's sitting up at 31,000 feet waiting for you.
