The other problem is that you mention a Tiger II taking a 90mm APCR to the upper and lower glacis with out taking damage. Any tanker should know that APCR is a terrible round to use on sloped armor. Only large, post war shells can penetrate its frontal armor. APCR may have high pen values, but it is a light and fast shell. Lets use the M26 shells as the example: The T33 and M82 shot may have less pen value, but they are heavier rounds at 11 kg each. They also have large surface tips to help grip into the steel. The M304 shot travels at 1021 m/s but only weighs 7.6 kg and has a small pointed tip making the perfect shell to bounce off angled armor or simply shatter.
however i do agree that its total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that tiger 2s faces is3s and is4s. i and dont understand why they added the t10 when the russians already have the best tanks in the game. i just got my tiger 2 105mm and its fking garbage against is3s, t54s and t10s. plus the upgraded shells (that u need because the stock ones are garbage with ♥♥♥♥ pen) cost 400 each.
To be more accurate
They get HEATFS with PT-76, 3 IS-2 variant (including premium) wich all have the right of postwar ammo
Brit have postwar tank and sabot round (~300mm pen with ~4 sec reloading time)
Amercian have the barely-possible-to-kill-in-hull-down T-32 and post war sabot with M41A4, maybe HEATFS with T-92 if its T4
German have 0 postwar tank nor ammo, not even the right to use the Jagtiger
Applies to T-34's and the likes on how they bounce like crazy which is totally skewered.
Well you must if your having problems killing Russian tanks and have resorted to coming onto the forum to cry that there OP.
Here's probably what your doing wrong
1. Your probably running around the map thinking your invincible, not using cover or dead ground and exposing those cherry flanks to get raped by smarter players.
2. There's a good chance your using ammo that's not as effective. Try different types of ammo to see what works best.
3. You probably spent 0 seconds looking at the armor of those tanks, or looking at them with
x-ray to see where the crew, ammo, fuel tanks, etc are so you know where to aim.
4. You're probably one of those guys who rinse and repeat trying to do the same thing over and over expecting something awesome but getting your ass handed to you every time.
5. A general lack of expereince playing in tank mode.............which is usually the case when someone comes here to cry that the big bad Russian tanks hurt their bum bum.
If any or all of those fit your problem spend a little time and simply learn from your mistakes and git gud and all will be peaches and rainbows and dancing unicorns.
APDS has a 100% chance of not bouncing at 24 degrees and goes through 83mm, so it never bounces and always penetrates (unless you hit the drivers hatch) but it's the best round to use against anything well sloped.
And i've had the ridiculous bounce situations as well when in my Tiger II.. fire, at 1 meter, into the front of a T-34 (so it's only about 50-40 degrees) and it still bounces.
