Also would like to toss out that, if US tanks were actually how Gaijin depicts them, we wouldn't have won any tank battles. Panthers are damn well near impenetrable save the small cheeks of the gun mantle, and a Tiger II takes 90mm APCR to upper and lower plates without giving a crap, you can sometimes pen the turret depending on the model, but other times the shell is absorbed into the abyss of the impossible.
Russians are not op.

To be honest, our tanks pretty much never won any battles. We basically just used airpower to win (because IRL planes are OP)

When the Americans upgraded there tanks with longer guns, the shells powder charge was overlooked. This resulted in a longer gun, but a lower muzzle velocity compared to others like it. For example: The M4A2 with the 76mm M1 with its stock shell has a muzzle velocity of 792m/s. The Panthers stock shell gets 935m/s and the 17 pounder gets 883m/s.

The other problem is that you mention a Tiger II taking a 90mm APCR to the upper and lower glacis with out taking damage. Any tanker should know that APCR is a terrible round to use on sloped armor. Only large, post war shells can penetrate its frontal armor. APCR may have high pen values, but it is a light and fast shell. Lets use the M26 shells as the example: The T33 and M82 shot may have less pen value, but they are heavier rounds at 11 kg each. They also have large surface tips to help grip into the steel. The M304 shot travels at 1021 m/s but only weighs 7.6 kg and has a small pointed tip making the perfect shell to bounce off angled armor or simply shatter.

another german fanboy, russian tanks were actually really good irl but becuase the germans had the advantage of being on the defensive they could kill more tanks by ambushing and such.

however i do agree that its total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that tiger 2s faces is3s and is4s. i and dont understand why they added the t10 when the russians already have the best tanks in the game. i just got my tiger 2 105mm and its fking garbage against is3s, t54s and t10s. plus the upgraded shells (that u need because the stock ones are garbage with ♥♥♥♥ pen) cost 400 each. :german:

Stop being this mad, it is called an angling
Here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4IwCdbjh3Q learn from this one. One of the reasons why Russian won in WW2 was these T34 with angling armor.
shell overmatching. Try again.

Lol.. Russia won the war by just angling tank armor pffff. Russia didnt win Russia won togheter along with usa england france etc
Russia kind of won the war for us not the other way around, in battle of stalingrad Russia destroyed an entire German army and Germany was never able to recover from that, German had to redeploy millions of troops from western occupied zone to the Eastern front,by 1943 when Russia won the battle of kursk german defeat was inevitable even without an western allies invasion from the western europe.
russia didnt win at kursk, hitler ordered operation citidel to be terminated due to the invasion of sicily and everyone was ordered to pull back. The russians then hounded them and gained the upper hand.

what ive noticed is when you first buy the tier 5 germans that without any upgrades they are TERRIBLE and get chewed up easy. After you get all of the upgrades however the tanks are epic. The kingtiger 105MM is EXCELLENT because of the new shell but also because I know its strengths and weaknesses as well as some of the weakspots on the russians. Same applies to the panther II. Terrible at first but its a dream tank when fully upgraded. Has the speed of the panther with the gun of the kingtiger as well as having a decent reverse gear (none of that 2 mph reverse ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ from previous panthers)

OH and of course russians get the SU100Y and IS2 for the tournament and we're left with shermans and a T25 cardboard tank and 2 Hellcats that are basically THE SAME WORTHLESS TANK. Logic right? Fair right? ♥♥♥♥ that. If I have to flank a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ IS2 then they should have to flank my not as ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ T32.

To be more accurate

They get HEATFS with PT-76, 3 IS-2 variant (including premium) wich all have the right of postwar ammo

Brit have postwar tank and sabot round (~300mm pen with ~4 sec reloading time)

Amercian have the barely-possible-to-kill-in-hull-down T-32 and post war sabot with M41A4, maybe HEATFS with T-92 if its T4

German have 0 postwar tank nor ammo, not even the right to use the Jagtiger
The RNG in war-thunder for sloped armour is teeth griting. theres video's on youtube showing KV-2 AP shells bouncing off things like locusts and bulldogs when they should go clean through.
Applies to T-34's and the likes on how they bounce like crazy which is totally skewered.

they arent OP. u just suck
And you Swallow My friend :)

Well you must if your having problems killing Russian tanks and have resorted to coming onto the forum to cry that there OP.

Here's probably what your doing wrong

1. Your probably running around the map thinking your invincible, not using cover or dead ground and exposing those cherry flanks to get raped by smarter players.

2. There's a good chance your using ammo that's not as effective. Try different types of ammo to see what works best.

3. You probably spent 0 seconds looking at the armor of those tanks, or looking at them with
x-ray to see where the crew, ammo, fuel tanks, etc are so you know where to aim.

4. You're probably one of those guys who rinse and repeat trying to do the same thing over and over expecting something awesome but getting your ass handed to you every time.

5. A general lack of expereince playing in tank mode.............which is usually the case when someone comes here to cry that the big bad Russian tanks hurt their bum bum.

If any or all of those fit your problem spend a little time and simply learn from your mistakes and git gud and all will be peaches and rainbows and dancing unicorns.
I bounced a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ISU-152 round my M4A2's engine deck
On the topic of T-34's bouncing rounds, anyone used APDS against T-34 hulls?
APDS has a 100% chance of not bouncing at 24 degrees and goes through 83mm, so it never bounces and always penetrates (unless you hit the drivers hatch) but it's the best round to use against anything well sloped.

And i've had the ridiculous bounce situations as well when in my Tiger II.. fire, at 1 meter, into the front of a T-34 (so it's only about 50-40 degrees) and it still bounces.
learn some basic history and physics
