Tank battles no fun anymore when you get to about BR 6.0
There's no action anymore, just camping. And already at BR 5.0 you have trouble fighting tanks with +1.0 BR. Sure I can hide somewhere and wait for someone to drive in front of me, but that's just not my idea of fun.

I still have fun games at BR 5.0, even BR 5.3, unless I get a lot of BR 6.0 in the match. Maybe I should just go afk when there's too many 6.0s in the game?

MOTHER OF BROKEN BR

I camp alot!!!Why?This is tank warfare not call of duty, tanks only fire a shot at a time then some have longer reload times than others, i see people at start of games rushing to the objective just to be slaughtered...my tactic is to drive near the capture point at a safe distance, kill the enemy tanks and then yes go to the capture point and dont forget there is only 3 spawns wich in 5 or 10 minutes if you dont play with caution its game over.Killing and staying alive its a way to help your team, and by doing that you earn planes that can be used to save team mates or clear enemy tanks that are covering the objectives.

Why not play RB, if you enjoy camping?

Anyway, I guess people are entitled to play the game in any way they like. And if I find camping boring I don't mind playing the "lower" ranks below 5.0. It would have been fun to play 5.0 and higher as well though. Well, the city maps aren't too bad, even when you're up against +1.0 tanks. You campers are usually crap in a proper fight. The open maps are sh*te boring though.

you could say that for all tanks then.

no matter what BR you are, you have a chance of fighting +1 BR above you. 4.0BR fighting 5.0, 3.0 BR fighting 4.0s.

anyways, ppl don't understand the very basic of flanking, just following like lemmings to the next cappoint, clustering together while a bomber nukes then all

No, 4.0s fighting 5.0s and 3.0s fighting 4.0s work, 5.0s fighting 6.0s doesn't. And, yeah, flanking solves anything, doesn't it? Because it's always just you and the other tank, and no other enemy tanks who will shoot you if you flank it?

jsut curious what 3 tanks you use in your 5.0BR lineup.

American: M4A1 (76) W, M4A2 (76) W, M6A1
Russian: T-34-85 (D-5T), KV-2, M4A2 (premium), ISU-152 and ZSU-37

I usually only play the Shermans in the American set up, and the T-34-85 and the Sherman in the Russian set up.

id say those are some good choices you got there.

i think the problem is facing the british 5.7 and 6.0 tanks you may be facing since they are obviously OP right now.

if thats the case well i guess you just have to endure until they nerf bat brit tanks in the future

"proper fight" there is no such thing in tank warfare, while you are engaging another tank up close you will expose your tank sides just to give a free kill to someone and in arcade it becomes worst to do that unless you are a very lucky player finding enemy tanks with no team mate nearby...while i camp i never stay in the same spot for to long and when the killing is done right i will go and take the objective...

Why should I give anyone a free kill by engaging tanks close up? I don't get the fun in camping, but you obviously don't know how to engage in close combat neither. And for the record, fighting from the front is a proper fight in my opinion. You are of course entitled to have a different opinion ...

Are we talking tanks or infantry?
Tank combat is about flanking and camping sometimes. Some tanks have extremely slow reload times so rushing at people will be death. Also most tanks have their strongest armor in the front so fighting head on is not very wise against tanks, unless it's a light tank or medium tank and your a heavy/tank destroyer.

Who's fighting anyone head on?

You said fighting from the front is a proper fight. From what I can tell its head on fights and not flanking which is how modern day tank combat still works, well Tank V infantry combat. Since the most used tank in the US can't penetrate its own armor lol.

The front as in being at the front, not front to front. I apologize, but English is not my first language.

Quite a few people enjoy using German vehicles, which can't take a lot of damage (except some of their later tanks and TDs). This leaves out quite a few players in the CQB brawl.

The first Panther (at BR 5.7) is rather tough (much more than the Tiger H1, IMO), and I have used it for brawling a few times (often with success). The other day I managed to hold a Capture Point (in an open map) against an onslaught of enemies, I managed to acquire 7 kills and didn't die until 3 enemies managed to get into the Capture Point (of which one died and the other recieved critical damage).
Part of this success came from the 2-3 allies who covered me from +300 meter away, though no one came to my aid when the enemies got into the Capture Point (we lost the match).
