Steam Gaijin account hacked?

Question: can your war thunder account be hacked if you only played trough steam?

Reason: I just logged in and for some reason my line up was changed and I was in a group with 2 people I never heard of.
Did this happend to anyone else at any time?

Ok so I just checked the login history and yeah, some scumbag from the cesspool called Russia and Türkiye (most likely the same person with an VPN) logged into my account and played 2 games (and not even good ones).

I have now changed my passwort, activated 2-step and the gaijin pass and hope that this is the end of it :/

Whats even sadder is, that he played 2 games with my 10.0 german lineup and got 1 kill in both games

Best practice is ensure you enable 2-factor authentication and create unique passwords for accounts you care about.

It's especially important to make sure you set your Email account password to a unique password that is not shared anywhere else and set up 2-factor for it. Controlling your email account is usually the deciding factor in maintaining control of the various games/services you use that email in the event a compromise occurs.

Please be sure to send ticket to support. Even if your account is safe now, you do not know what he did when he used it. Inform support on this event please. They will double check your account.
