There is no endgame anyone can start at any time.
Not worth it if packet loss still is a thing
If kill/assist system isn't fixed yet (broken in 2018 for air)
In my opinion. grind is too steep and made worae. last i played, about 1.5-2 years ago war thunder was in a state that i would not recommend it to others. I haven't followed what happened in the last few, but i saw no signs of gaijin listening to the most common and easy to fix critique up until then.
Bad economy (can be worked around), but stupid high grind, & compressed ratings/matchmaker on in the later parts of the title (50s jets going up against 70s jets with superior weapon systems etc)
Read some reviews, why not .. see what they say.
That said, it is a decent title, but a weak 6/10 imo due to the management of what used to be a great game. (For planes, tanks are as fun as a walking simulator, boats ok but bit ruined by the stupid high grind) used to recommend war thunder (planes) a lot but can't do it in good faith anymore, maybe the things I mentioned has been fixed finally.
Planes is another thing, I'd say you could probably reach early/mid jets using bombers, playing sim, etc. As for naval, I'd say yeah there's a decent chance depending on the country.
The gameplay is nice
The entire economy and resrach speed is enough to make one quit the game but this issue start when hittign cold war era vehicle and onward
