The system you decribe is active in DCS but its far too complex for war thunder, unless they model the exact components to the right place kinda like that what they did for tanks recently but for planes this is far more difficult, as they usually have no armor so theres basically no protection at all which means one unlucky shot and you can no longer fire missiles because an important asset was either damaged or destroyed, its almost impossible to do this for jets without destroying the game.
You don't have to solve any new systems, as long as the plane gets a few hits, it can't shoot missiles, that's it. What's the point of dead planes shooting a million rockets around them like a merry-go-round and still being able to destroy everything? What will this bring to the game, even more chaos? In 10 games, I was killed twice by a plane that I had already destroyed and only the burning ones fell in the islands, it's funny, I know. Do I have to watch this plane for 5 minutes until the player leaves, or does he have more rockets even if he falls uncontrollably? I know it's unrealistic, so what is the mechanics there for? So if it is so difficult to solve it with modules, it is enough to solve it simply.
Wait, know if Gaijin nerfs the USA, their missiles, etc. always talk about realism and talk about reality, real numbers, etc. So how is it? Besides, if realism is not better, what makes this sci-fi system better and what does it bring to the game? Personally, I think it's the opposite, and in this case, realism would be better for the game than this nonsense, which makes the game even more arcade and chaos, where luck and RNG are more important than real skill, only frantic pressing of buttons like in the game Mortal Kombat and attempted combo from an amateur player.
Its not about missiles only that was only an example, it could also be the main battery or the electronics for the MFDs which makes the pilot basically blind they could add such a system but it needs to be heavily balanced to prevent a riot, for example if the cockpit section is orange/red due to damage it could result is misfire or missiles losing the lock and when its black you lose all MFDs and the ability to fire missiles but you can still fire your gun, that sounds horrible and my suggestion would be to implement this to SIM only and nothing else, you should be satisfied then, i highly recommend to suggest this in the forums if you want something like this in the near future but the amount of supporters will be low.
