Why the hell is the Su-17M2 10.7?

Flareless. Barely Supersonic (Slow). Terrible Maneuverability. Terrible Missiles that Eat Flares, even if there's only single one in the air (and you only have 4x missiles in total). Pretty bad payload for it's BR. No Radar.
Sounds bad?
To make it worse, this thing fights 11.7 pretty much all the time...and even at it's BR of 10.7 it's completely useless. I'm gonna say that it should be 10.0, simply because that it's worse than everything even at 10.3.
Try to fly the Su-17M2 in Air RB and you'll immidiately know how bad it is.
The terrible stats on Thunderskill for this aircraft second my opinion.

it used to be 10.3 but got upped at the same time as the f4c. f4c enjoyers say the r-60 is an amazing missile , yes it is at 9.0

To be fair, not really. The R-60 has a pretty bad range and the seeker just loves flares...single flare anywhere near your enemy absolutely destroys your locking attempts. The R-60 is only useful against flareless opponents in REAR aspect...try getting behind the enemy in your Su-17M2 and you'll soon discover it's close to impossible without dying.

People underestimate importance of range on these ''early'' missiles.

Range isn’t that important when everything is subsonic, and you only use your missiles once you are going sub 500mph, like any normal person would.

It was a casualty of the upping BRs. Its really a 10.3 at best, the later models with R60Ms and lots of countermeasures are much more useable.

To be honest changing those BRs broke just as many planes as it fixed.

What do you mean ''everything is subsonic''? That's simply not true. Alot of aircraft on 9.7-10.0 are supersonic and the ones that are not are either equipped with flares or complete trash because they don't have them.

Only the Su-22M4 has ''Alot of countermeasures''....the other Su-22 has ONLY 12, R-60Ms at 11.0 are also not very good simply because of flares again, requiring you to fire them at unsuspecting enemies which is very hard in the Su-17/22s...

These super sonic things are 90% not going supersonic most the time…
