M1A1 Clickbait Appreciation Thread
I love this tank. The thing slaps. Bought it last night and have been on fire. Have not had a game with less than 5 kills in it yet. Insane firepower and firerate, great survivability, good armor (especially the turret) and the mobility is just wild. Not to mention all the noobs playing this BR, farming them and having them on my team means more kills for me. Gosh I sound like I have a crush on this tank…

now i'm thinking about grabbing the M1128 MGS "Wolfpack" to bolster my lineup even more. what do you guys think? worth it or nah?
M1128 seem really fun to play at 10.0 BR. The gun has amazing pen and it's fast. I recommend it and if you can wait till November when it's 50% off.

Don't get the clickbait until Gajin buffs it or something.
great tank but give us the option to remove the trash please i hate that. Atleast the chair, the boxes look actually cool.

It doesn't have either of these. You have to play hulldown but with a full team of m1 you going to loose many games. Probably the worst performing tank at its BR. Compared to 2a7, strv, t90 and t80 that actually have frontal armor and a good gun. Win rate for US is really bad right now.
Play hulldown? Don't you mean sniping? Challenger 2 is the tank you play hulldown, not Abrams. It's better if it stays on the move. It's better in a flanker/support role. Shouldn't be brawling against Soviet tanks and definitely not German tanks.

Ya'll don't even know what you are talking about.

The Clickbait is not a M1A1. It's a M1A1 HC. Different variant.

Thats not what im seeing at all lol. It has a small weakspot just under the barrel, but those turret cheeks are huge and will deflect m60.

M1A1 HC has better turret armor over the M1A1. M1A1 turret armor is the same as IPM1.

Not just under the barrel. There a big gap from the turret to the hull. Shooting anywhere bellow the turret will kill you.

What if the whole team is M1? We all just gonna snipe while they cap base or push us? We have no choice but to fight against German/Russian tanks.

If you get shot in the cheeks, the shooter ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up big time. The weakspot of the breech area, the turret ring and the entire hull below it is so massive that even in a hull down if someone fires first while your breech is exposed, you are losing most if not your entire turret crew.

Every team has bad players, but skilled ones know how to carry. If you're struggling with an entire team of M1s, it's not the tank's fault—it's yours. Complaining about facing German and Russian tanks just shows you're not adapting.

If you're not skilled enough to carry your team, that's on you. Sniping is a solid strategy, but you need to know when to push and when to hold your ground. Blaming the tank or your team won't make you better. Get good, learn the game, and stop making excuses.

if you're getting taken out by shots to the breech area, turret ring, and hull, then it's clear you don't know how to position your tank properly. The M1A1's cheeks are solid, and anyone who knows how to play hull-down will tell you that. If you're losing your turret crew every time, you're either not paying attention or you’re just bad at the game. Stop blaming the tank for your own lack of skill.

Learn the maps, learn the tank, and maybe then you'll stop getting wrecked by players who actually know what they're doing. Until then, maybe stick to lower BRs where you can figure out the basics without getting schooled.

even the best armor can't protect you if you park your tank like it's a Sunday picnic. If you're getting taken out in the M1A1, that's a skill issue, plain and simple. Step up your game, and you might spend more time in battle and less in the hangar.

how do you expect to hide your giant weak breech without just sitting behind a building? you do know the breech is located between the 2 turret cheeks right? a spot you cant really hide without being useless to your team.

If you position your tank so that only your turret cheek is visible, then you are literally doing nothing of use because you can't shoot anything from such an angle. You can hide your hull and in some cases your turret ring, but the breech area, if you actually intend to engage any targets, will remain a weakspot you can't hide. If nobody shoots you, then it is irrelevant, but at that point it applies to every MBT and therefore the argument is just as irrelevant.

Funny thing is, I have learned the maps, I have learned the tank, and whenever I face it I have absolutely zero concern it will do anything to me because I do not need to aim whatsoever to kill it and even if it is hull down I can freely engage it and win that engagement every time short of latency screwing with my shot. If you think the tank is good, you've fallen for the sunk cost fallacy coping.
