From my understanding, they're not entirely wrong. It's not exactly a fast aircraft from what I've seen discussed, it can have a powerful load, but it sounds like AA bait

It depends, if you have vehicles around that tier sure, after all you gotta wait for the enemy team to do good to spawn it in first. If you don't and will piggyback off of a squad mate, I'm not sure I'd recommend it, there's a decent chance unless you sit far back that you will get hit by something

Everyone has been speculating the A-10 will be a gigantic flop since forever. This isn't news.

They probably stuck AIM-9Ls on it to try to beef it up a little bit, but it won't help it really.

Its IRL performance was always overhyped by people that don't really know better, much like the German cats.

It's upsides in tank busting were always the ordinance it could carry, not its flight performance nor the GAU-8. Its gun was always for area saturation against soft targets and light armor (IE a swarm of BMP-1s which were being mass produced around the time the A-10 was being designed). The gun became "famous" for being a "tank buster" because your average media pundit can't really tell the difference between an APC, IFV, LAV, or MBT, it's almost always just "tank" if it can't be called a truck.

The A-10 is purely designed for CAS, while the own faction has air superiority. Otherwise the A-10 is nothing more than a Stuka trying to be succesfull in 1944.

all iv seen is that they have refused to do thier home work or make the reduanted system of the a10 seperate. meaning that unlike in realy life where a a10 can and will lose a wing yet still fly home on one engine. sense they refused to add reduanted similar systems on other layers deeper within the aircraft they are just selling us a peice of ♥♥♥♥ plane. to bad iv already preordered it after learning about this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ abuse of their devlopment. a a10 can and does whistand aa fire. missle fire and impacts you have to litearlly rip it apart to stop it. yet as iv seen 1 aa missle is enough to completely end it.(its not even close to enough. we have multiple stories of the tub and one engine making it home after taking multiple direct hits and still doing their missions)

It was always going to be mediocre/bad plane. It's a modern very sub sonic ground pounding plane. The survivability of it has also been exponentially over-hyped. The A-10 is not magical, or any more magical than any well armored attack helicopter, it shares the same combat role, and thus it will survive small cannon fire, but it won't survive any proper AA hits, that's why it isn't fielded when there's proper AA in the enemy territory.

It's not a magical air frame, if you hit it with large enough bullets it will crumble just like any plane, having some additional armor plating, doesn't help it against most AA guns, and any SAM from '80s and up will remove this plane from the sky like you would a fly with a flyswatter.

In today's times, the A-10 is highly inadequate for most battlefields, similarly to the Su-25, but it is hyped into oblivion because one example managed to land damaged - many planes managed and still manage to do that.
