Tornado IDS MFG - Research amount

The Tornado IDS MFG is currently in the German TT, placed in BR 11.0 (God knows why...). It was an event reward for the Winter Quest - 2022/23.

This discussion is not about its current BR or its capabilities. Its more about the current aircraft as it is right now, to be more specific its about the amount of research needed for the tier III and IV modifications. I got the engine upgrade (tier IV) at one point, but I don't remember it requiring 50K research points (keep in mind the poor performance that may or may not make this Tornado extremely painful to spade).
Question now:
1. Was it always like this? - If you take a look at the USSR SU-25 event vehicle at 11.0 BR, it doesn't require nearly as much effort as the given Tornado.
2. Could it be a mistake made by Gaijin?

its harder to spade becouse its a rank 8. since its a higher rank (not Br) it has higher resruch cost, The only reason its even rank 8 is becouse gaijin thinks its somehow on par with the British tornado that is a fighter.

I just looked through the TTs in War Thunder, and stoped at France.
They have an aircraft "Mirage 2000C-S4" rank VIII at BR 11.7.
Its modification cost at rank IV is 25k research (half less of the mod. research cost of the Tornado).

Maybe Gaijin is trying to keep the total research for a full spade at min. 300k research.

thats ruffly it they are around 300k and have to componsate a bit for amount of modifications. The Tornado came out before the modification cost rework and they standartised the modification costs so it was a bit stetched as a old ish event vehichle

Tornado IDS MFG works great in AB I find, much easier to spade it in AB than it would be in RB.

It was not easy to spade, phantoms do everything it can do but better.

Its not super easy to spade but it can be done with some bases bombed, The german varient sucks becouse its only good for ground pound, It gets 2 Ir missles and thats it...unlike the UK verient that can carry like 8 missles and radar missles too. And that was supose to be germanys Top tier jet for a wile too before the mig29 was given in another uopdate.

Tornado has just 2 upgrades at rank IV meaning you need 100k RP to finish it while SU25BM has 7 upgrades so you need 98K RP to finish it the amount of RP needed to spade a vehicle is always the same based on the tier the vehicle is

22k? lol steam shows 7.5k and most of that was from when the game used a launcher and had P2P so the launcher would be open 24/7 on my PC

If I look up the profile from Tomwyr it says 22k
