The prices are set by the Community for what it's worth
Remember the IS-7 and E-100 last I saw when it was still if ever available was at GJN1000
The Vilkas is a new vehicle with thousands available, from a fairly easy event, thus lower prices.
The fact that you made this thread is in itself the reason for its pricetag.
There was a video posted on the War Thunder forums of someone buying the last IS-7 for $2000.
Similiar to the AMX Surblinde. It's not OP in any way, it's just that it's a reward from world war mode which makes it absolutely rare as ♥♥♥♥.
And your Object 279 was locked behind playing War Thunder for 8 hours a day 11 days straight. Add that and its popularity and you have one of the priciest vehicles in game
I don't recall the Object 279 requiring 8 hours per day for 11 days. It was a crafting event where you got parts based on points with an actual limit on how many you could get per day. And you could play any mode/BR you wanted (with event vehicles) So I actually got the Object 279 playing naval. (with a 2.2 modifier)
I'm not certain but I might have gotten more then one vehicle from that event.
Not for naval with 2.2 modifier LOL
You received parts for every 10 minutes you spent in battle with over 50% activity. That is how hard this event was.
So in theory for the 40 chests per day you would need to play matches for a total of 400 minutes or almost 7 hours and since this day i do not know wether they counted total time or only active time whoch would be another crash for grinding the event
There was no modifier for naval iirc
It was possible to get more then 1 chest (awards since it was not chests) at a time. You could get up to 3 (1 for being first on your team,) 1 with 7 to 9 parts for 10 minutes above 50% and 1 fuel and oxidizer for every 10 minutes. Naval battles can last up to 60 minutes So a single naval battle could earn you 40 or more parts it was parts per day not chests I don't think i ever played 7 hours in a single day. And it was time in battle. So a single 30 minute battle could get you 21-27 parts
In any case I found it one of the most fun and easy to do events. I didn't know the object 279 would be anything special
I may never have gotten 400 parts in a single day but then you didn't need that many. The issue was certain parts were more rare then others so I had to wait more then one day to build a stage because I had many of one part and none of another but you didn't need to make 11 space craft
I only got the Object 279 since to get the other prizes you had to trade parts from the 279
