What happened to Birds of Steel?

I remember playing this game when I was 4-5-ish. And I loved it. I love the planes and the combat (I was a big lover of planes like the P-51) and I wish Gaijin could remaster and publish it for newer consoles or at least put the old game on Steam. It was a fun game, and I miss it. I want it back, but it isn't there. Place y'all's opinions on this...

I recently tried to install it on my PS3. The controls are so bad, and the game is so blurry. War Thunder sure improved a lot over time.
A lot of the old missions are available in the current client to play. Just do that.
