I never turnfight in my US planes - usually I fly low to the ground and fly around sporadically if someone's behind me
Some one them do thankfully. One trick ive been doing is Immelmans to flip around, and just be relatively unpredictable - even up close. My Germans often have problems like that too - but I can just outrun whoever's following me.
Specifically russins, I'll try to barrel roll around them given some of their lackluster climb rates and the fact most US planes fly at low speeds

Anyway, watch the first part of it, on the dogfight between the Zero's and the lone SBD. Some great tactics and visual demonstration of how to handle a muti-vs-one scenario in a ill-suited plane in a turn battle.
Lol "using state of the art computer animation"
great video tho!
It was "state-of-the-art" considering it was made in like 2005.
Since diving is your main defensive tactic, always keep yourself at altitude when the option exists. Also, in arcade battles you can wiggle the mouse in order to make it a lot harder to aim consistently at you (although that will slow you down too, you probably want to make smoother turns rather than random and erratic ones if it's possible to outrun an enemy aircraft; never maneuver more than a small amount to the side, as you are trying to fly relatively straight).
There are a lot of more advanced maneuvers you can do, but I suck at those so I'm not a great person to explain them :P. Look up how to conduct maneuvers like barrel rolls, and rolling scissors to get a better idea of how to force an enemy to overshoot and end up in front of you rather than behind.

flying wing to ground can help avoid shots,,,,use left right
slightly levelling can be added for you wip-manouver.....
the manouver
as your already turning into the turn you may suprise them-with sudden turn max-=wep-
go up down-left right-either
basically-vertical plane as opposed to horizontal
if im approaching an ememy-ill already lead into the turn-reducing there advantage
use this on incoming,so im on there tail as they pass-
its hard in words to describe=hope ya get it
I get what you're saying, dont worry :D
