How do you pick a bomb based on target?
I recently took a look at the aircraft laid magnetic mines witch I thought where I direct upgrade compared to a equivalent yield bomb because they have a higher frag radius, armor pierce of detonation force, and radius of destruction of armoured vehicles. while still acting like bombs if used on ground. But I noticed that despite 1 1000lbs bomb being enough to take out a base a magnetic mine doesent quite do it witch makes me think it actually does less damage to buildings. this makes me think. is THIS what the armor piercing bomb is for if you arnt one of the 10 players who play naval? do they act like the inverse of the mines? low effectiveness against armoured craft (except ships) but better against emplacements and bases?

Im aware bombs create frags just like tank shells. do magnetic mines witch (in irl at least) have their thinner case produce less fragments and do less damage to static targets then?

As one of the ten players of naval I ask "what is the difference between a bomb and a mine"
what makes a bomb AP? Are AP good area effect bombs? If you miss with a mine is it the same as missing with say a straight HE bomb?
I might need to consult with the other 9 naval players in order to gain a consensus.

Armour piercing bombs are useless outside of targetting ships.

What's happening here is a higher TNT equivalent actually results in less damage to bases due to game mechanics. You're better taking lower yield bombs and dropping more of them, than taking one big bomb.

Legion has a fantastic bomb load out table with every plane and every bomb load out to destroy bases at different BRs. I can't link it here because I think Steam will block my comment, so look up "Legions Loadouts 1.36" and you should find it, it's a Google Spreadsheet.
