Best USSR Premium plane?

Just like the title suggest, looking for a good plane or 2 that I can use to grind out USSR Air. Ideally one I'll be able to use for most of the grind while also being good lol. Currently only in the 2.7br so anything above that please!

I really like the Mig 17AS, good dogfighter and it gets missiles too while being at a decent rank and BR, sadly it isn't available anymore. Currently if you want a premium then I would go with the 10.0 Frogfoot: https://store.gaijin.net/story.php?partner=Wiki&partner_val=mufby3bs&title=Su-25K-Pack

Run the SU-25k in either ground or air RB and you'll be able to earn a pretty nice amount of SL especially if you don't mind dying a bunch in it (basically you care more about making SL and RP than your kill/death stats.) and I especially recommend it in ground RB as the ordanance is quite strong against tanks, the aircraft is among the more resilient to missiles so it is a little more survivable than other planes around the BR and it is excellent at low speeds with lots of flares so it can do multiple passes of the battlefield and do so with a little more control than an SU-22 would allow for a newer player as the SU-25k's fly a bit like a prop plane rather than a high speed jet. if you are going to run it in ground RB, grind out the T-50, it is a light tank at BR 2.7, it can scout, has a moderate amount of mobility and is cheap to repair, so grind out the T-50, grab all it's modifications, get the SU-25k and then farm scouts in the T-50, die at some point and then spawn the SU-25k and nuke anything that moves for as long as the enemy team fails to shoot you down. This works for other trees too like the M24 chaffee and the A10 Warthog or the Puma and the Tornado IDS (granted the tornado is pretty terrible, especially for new players as it is both hard to fly and hard to get kills with it compared to the SU and A10, it's the best germany has for new players though... besides the G-91 R/4).

Anyway the SU-25k is your best bet unless you want to grind the entire tree which means you would want the SU-39 or Mig 23ML, depending on whether you want to play ground RB or air RB, they are both BR 11.3 so the matches will be punishing though you can still do the T-50 scout farming at 11.3 as scouting is one of the safer and easier ways to help your team and can be done effectively with any scout vehicle but the amount of missile AA and the amount of enemy fighters in the air will make things painful for your SU-39 so you might only get one good bombing run before you are shot down.

Do you want to grind the whole tree or just need an okay CAS aircraft for your top tier ground lineup? SU-39 is a pretty good grinding aircraft even if it does suffer occasionally when the enemy has lots of AA or fighters up because your teammates were flying CAS a few minutes before you got into your plane and thus the anti CAS horde will be waiting for you. the SU-25 is good all around and perfectly fine if you want a CAS plane for your top tier lineup and just care about SL rather than grinding the air tree.

If for some weird reason you are playing Air RB instead of ground RB... I honestly can't recommend premium CAS aircraft, they can do alright if left alone but if the enemy chooses to kill you welp you are probably gonna die shortly thereafter.

If you can make sure you wait for the Christmas sale and you’ll get most stuff at 50% off. Best premium for me though has been the Mig 23

MiG-23ML hands down, not the best jet you'll fly but quite solid, do have to set your wings sweep bindings tho to unlock full potential, set it at around 16-30% for best low-speed handling

Some of these are event vehicles/not regularly available nor have the best CAS options so apologies for that but these are the best picks for air modes imo. Definitely wait for the sale around Christmas though as some stuff might be discounted.

ITP M-1 is so damn good, wish it had the HE-100A-O's old flight model though, it would make people so mad, way angrier than they already get when that beast shreds them in head ons.
