Anymore would make it an instant loss for all opposing teams if the group of 5+ are even halfway competent
Making the game more hellish on un-squaded casual players would be a great way to drive away a big chunk of the player base, though, if that's what you're hoping for...
You realize most games do this and support it completely fine?
They are already pushing out changes to finding public squads in future updates which you can see posted to there roadmap on there website.
Casual players aren't playing realistic battles on the regular. Those that do have people to play with.
Game also supports in game voice that is available to everyone.
So I feel bad for you if you don't have 5 people to play with that sucks dude but don't let this upset you. Hopefully with the squad finding update you can find some more friends or even start with me and add me 🫡
How does 4 people influence the game a crazy amount? Team sizes are massive. Unless you are playing low tier or with bots good luck beating 20 randoms at 4-5 rating in realistic battles. This only happens during big up tiers and down tiers where it just turns into a spawn camp fest anyways.
What do you think happens in Hell let loose or Red Orchestra 2 when people get together? Does battlefield and battle bit support playing together?
If you were able to view squads from the spawn menu and move between them then this would allow solo players to join them as well. As well as encourage more communication
Those games have larger teams. A 4 person squad in a team of 16 is 25% of that team...
Congrats on just assuming you know the entire player demographic, you must be some kind of god or psychic. I alone have at least 10 friends who are playing the game casually, who all play realistic battles (they are like me and hate arcade), just not "on the regular" which was sort of my entire point, which obviously blew way over your head... How do you explain us then, just some kind of random weird outlyers? Or do you have some crystal ball showing the play style of every demographic playing the game? Again, do tell, love to see the facts backing up your claim...
Which is relevant how? If you meant to help with my comment on communications on fully international servers, that's not going to help in the least. Bad enough trying to read a different language, let alone have a bunch of different language conversations in your ear...
I appreciate the sympathy you have for me. Did I come across as upset by that, though? Or even that the argument always applied to me? I mean, my examples clearly pointed out the delays that can happen when trying to connect in a squad with the current server structure, which sort of implies I DO have people I play with at different times. But, I'm realizing that you likely just skimmed my post to look for things to argue with, rather than actually reading it and understanding the points being made...
Something simple like being able to view open squads when in a game would fix this. You join a game look at squads and either join on or go it solo. The current system just puts two random solos into a squad and says have fun. This is a basic feature from 15 year old battlefield games.
Don't you think if you were able to view squads on a team and move between them it would be beneficial to the gameplay?
That would be a great mechanic, for sure! Could be very helpful for at least having a little choice in your random squad composition.
But, it still doesn't address the core point I was making about how limited matchmaking is when it has to consider already existing squads. Making larger squads of potentially even more combinations of nations would make it even slower for queueing, as the system currently stands. And a large coordinated gang who works together constantly will have a massive advantage in a game when put up against smaller squads or pairs, or even just random solos (even if they can do some basic choosing of a squad to join when entering). That established coordination and experience working together would be an extreme advantage.
Ideally maybe there could be a "platoon" mode, where you can join up in a team of 8 and go against another established platoon of 8, something like that. Still would be a challenge maybe for matching BR levels, but in that kind of situation you could ignore trying to match nations, since there would be no random players joining. Be a great way to hone those cooperation and tactics skills for squad mates.
