planes on heli airfield

howcome the heli airfield doesnt repair planes??

It used to repair them but it was heavily abused by some planes so they fixed so that only helis can repair/rearm on it

It's in the name... HELI airfield. They won't have parts and ammunition for planes, only helicopters. The harrier though can rearm and repair at them.

I really want to know how something like using the helipads to repair can be abused when only early props and VTOL could realistically land on most.

I have seen people land jets on the helipads before they changed it

Well yeah, there's a few exceptions, but most are surrounded by trees. I just think it's silly how this could be "abused"

Got to remember that the planes also get an air spawn, just think about a Pe-8 landing at one and getting back in the fight real fast

How. I couldn't even land the Pe-8 properly without destroying the gears on the airfield, else I will be sliding all the way off the airfield then the game asked me to J out lol

Smashed it into the runway at 130kph (nose up, tail down... if you get it you're cultured). Friction and butt clenching prayers to the snail did the rest. It's like landing on the aircraft carriers, you need to do some strange angle's and kph's to make it work but it can be done. I have seen people land the PE-8 and the strato on the heli pad too though I've never attempted it myself.

I landed mine on the first heli pad on sands of sianai Edit: also landed it on the italian map in customs on a dare on Taaapeees server back when that was a thing (bunch of 1000+ hour players on a "peace" server where we shared sniping spots, taught how to get out of the map, did stupid maneuvers in planes including the landing on winds thing a few youtubers attempted and generally just messed around for hours and hours, good times, gaijin ruined part of it with the map edits to keep people from mountain climbing but eh, we found new spots for them to patch as fast as they could block them lol. Couple players including myself used to teach sniping and penetration class on the server too for newer players or vets that wanted to get better at long range combat, while others taught how to use heli's and guided munitions. We did a ton of random stuff back then).
