Russian/soviet cannons nerfed?

I feel like its completely impossible to pen leopard 2's now. I have shot them broadside 2 times in the turret and both were ricochets.
Then i shot another leopard 3 times in the driver hatch with 3bm60, 2/3 of my shots didnt even pen and the one that did only slightly wounded the driver and then just disintegrates??

Yeah im not sure if soviet cannons were nerfed or if the leopard was just super buffed

irl even 3bm9 can go through the thickest part of the leopars turret armor.. At least with the leopard 2a5, but gaijin added the 2a7 too and buffed the 2a5 without even conformation of the actual armor of the 2a7 they still decided it would be good to have in the game irl tank shells are nasty asf and dont care about armor

If the developers wanted the vehicles to be be 100% accurate in everything, the game will be quite different when it comes to shells penetration and accurate armor values.

If we gave everyone realistic armor values, top tier would be so one sided. One side got shells that can upperfront plate the other side, while the other side can’t pen anything from the front. Also using rubber as armor ain’t so good.

actually thats literally the opposite, leopard 2a7s dm shell cant pen the upper front plate of the t-72b3 but t-72b3 3bm60 would easily tear through the thickest part of the turret armor.. Again there are a ♥♥♥♥ ton of simulations for this, this isnt just speculation.
Also there has been only one case of rubber used as armor or ERA in the entire history of russia, and it happened in Chechnya with a rouge tank commander in ukraine the claims that russians were using rubber armor has the same validity as the ghost of kiev.

you are shooting the strongest parts of the tank lol. the top half of the hull and complete front half of the turret including the sides are basically immune on the leopard 2a5 and up

well no.. also the NERA armor on the leopards is mostly rubber which is what the guy is talking about pretty sure. but yeah irl 3bm60 is not going through a 2a7s strong parts 💀 dm53 can’t go through relikt equipped tanks either though but later shells can

Really? I haven't noticed anything weird though I don't have 3BM60, I have lots of 3BM42, a tank with TAPNA and 1 tank with 3BM46 (I have the BVM I just ignored the 3BM60 mod as I didn't need it). Maybe there is something wrong with 60 specifically, like a spall issue or something caused by the recent patch?

You just being Gaijan per usual. There been matches where I would penetrate an enemy side armor with big shells like the 85mm-128mm APHE and kill only half the crew.
