Why does Japan have 3 Literally Identical tanks at 4.7?

The Chi-To's have different names but the exact same stats & modifications and BR. Why is this a thing? Lack of creativity? Love of Cheetos?

The last point is understandable at least, as whomst among us can say they do not love Cheetos? But in terms of Gameplay it's pretty dumb & bad. Thank you

Ah yes, I see the frontal armor is slightly more sloped. A true boon to any would-be Cheeto warrior.

Chi-To Late also has a smaller turret. I don't think either of them belong at 4.7 but hey.

Imagine this. you have one tank, it gets destroyed. You have RP, but your nearest tank is 1-2 BR away. Now you're screwed. A bunch of variants helps someone flesh out their tech tree without borrowing American tanks.

Although they have a good armour, Chi-To and Chi-To late belong in 4.0 or 4.3 then Chi-Ri in 4.3 or 4.7 also Chi-Nu II got raise in its BR (3.7 ->4.0) makes it a worse Chi-To. But Gaijin hate Japanese tree since ages ago so the only Japanese main can do is coping with the situation with skill.

Yep I agree. Chi-Nu II at 3.7, Chi-To at 4.0, Chi-To Late at 4.3 and Chi-Ri II at 4.7 would be perfect. The guns may have high penetration but the uncapped shells handicap them.

The Chi-Ri is a very powerfull tank and i felt always happy playing it at 5.0, my 5.0 lineup is Chi-Ri, Chi-To, Na-To and So-Ki and im enjoying it a lot.
