If you are console player, you can switch off crossplay and play only with players from your platform (but that will obviously make queue time much longer).
I dont know if they can do the same in Sim but it is an advantage
Gamers Today: "Horrible, these console players have a different input methode, this will make perfect Balance IMPOSSIBLE. We have to BAN THEM TO THE SHADOW REALM. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE".
I really hate gamers today. They ruin everything good about gameing for pointless things like personal performs, political propaganda or because they can´t suspend there disbeliefe, whining about things being not "Realistic".
So weak and pathetic.
of course, you can lock on enemy planes, e.g you can lock on to an aircraft in a missile aa without radar and the aircraft wont receive a radar warning. The locking on pretty much guides your missiles to the enemy.
Here is a video if you dont believe me :)

here is a shorter one where you can clearly see someone using kbm on console with aim lock to fire on an aircraft without using his radar so the plane doesent get a rwr warning.also he tracks him through the mountain

Then maybe you can explain how this guy tracks an plane through a mountain while using kbm on a console and fires an rocket locking onto the plane without using radar, so the plane doesent get any radar warning?

I like using hotas for sim mode, but I don't have rudder pedals. So maybe the XBox controller would be a more aircraft-like experience with rudder on the top triggers, as opposed to the wonky twist-axis rudder option on a flight stick.
