That's a skill issue lmao. The AVRE has the same glaring weak spots as a normal Churchill and has a ♥♥♥♥ cannon and no way to defend itself other than a coax BESA during the reloads. Track and barrel torture then run or kill the crew through the massive side weakspots.
If CAS is on the enemy team, is it good or bad? Bad right? It's going to maybe wipe your whole team. Shoot some planes down, just cause some frustration (Which War Thunder excels at).
And what if they were on your team? is it good or bad? Good right? they are going to wipe the enemy team, clear enemy CAS, and help you win the round. When you have these answer, you'll see. See that this argument, is just as stupid as you say CAS players are.
May I remind you again, you need kills to get CAS, which I try to go for in games. Capping points and marking a target with optics (and that marked target getting killed by you or a teammate) Will also get you points. There are lots of ways to get points, but my favorite is to just get my T-34 out there and start the slaughter.

so why the objection to a ground only mode option?
There is no valid argument for not having a tank v tank mode.
If it had any economic incentive, there can be zero doubt that Gaijin would do it. This is Gaijin we're talking about.
