Mouse does not work suddenly

I have no clue how this happened or how to fix it. After a short break, about a week or so, I tried to play war thunder and I can not use my mouse. The mouse is not the problem, it works as I type this. But for some reason I can not use the mouse when I try to play war thunder. I have to use the arrow keys and hit enter or esc to activate or select anything.

do you have a wireless mouse? if so then maybe the fob is broken.

So I realized that, I can not use the LMB or RMB. I remember I hit the like, Steam big screen mode or something like that while on my laptop. And I think it keeps looking for a playstation or xbox controller. I can use the Space button to select things and mouse to hover over it, but I do not know how to get the LMB to work to select things as I hover over it. I can still play and LMB works to fire, but it is a small but very noticeable annoyance as I am playing
