France had too many vehicles around that BR of course, so now with no 9.0s, three 9.3s, two 9.7s (one of which is a premium), a single 10.0, and then nothing until 11.7 you get a very wide selection of vehicles consisting of two AMX-32s, an AMX-40 (which has some UFP armour but other than that it's about the same), a light tank with 116mm of pen, and a few missile SPAAs.

I really don't know why they keep trying to make the French tech tree less fun, like how they're now moving a bunch of 7.7 vehicles up to 8.0 (which effectively results from a matchmaking shift from 6.7 to 8.7-9.0) while not moving some of the stronger vehicles at 8.3-8.7 up so they doesn't constantly face those (imo the T-55AMD-1 is by far the worst in this regard, it gets amazing armour, a fully stabilized gun, quite decent mobility, a shell selection consisting of HEATFS, APFSDS, APHE, HE, smoke, and even ATGMs it can fire on the move, and to prevent any ATGMs going through its armour it even gets a hard kill APS), it's just not right for the balance.

This usually happens before they add a new premium. They will remove the old one from the store for a while before later readding it back for GE. Of course sometimes that is not the case and instead it will only come back for limited time sales. I would expect a rank 7 premium in the future however.

I hope they'll also add some more rank 7 tech tree vehicles (and not by moving existing rank 6 vehicles to rank 7) because they've currently got a grand total of three vehicles, two Leclercs in one folder and an SPAA.

Their light tanks and tank destroyers stop at 8.7 (the only exception being the 9.7 premium light tank), it really feels like an incomplete tree.
