Getting owned by biplanes
I do not understand how a biplane with the 7.7mm machine gun rips my wing off with very few shots. yet it takes a good 6-7 well aimed shots using two 20mm cannons to kill a biplane. Anyone else have a problem with this?

WHICH biplane and WHICH 20mm?
Do not underestimate the power of the 7.7mm, that is unless the biplane you are fighting only has two of them.

Also a biplane is hitting more shots than you think into your wing. They can track you better so most of the shots if not all hit you. All the shots you see are the tracers. Chances are that you are aiming for the wrong place since it only takes 1 well aimed cnnshot to hit a biplane to take it down. By well aimed I mean aim for the wing, tail section, pilot, etc.

if its german/japanese biplane then you dont really have to fear
however if its soviet, US...especially UK you better run
Soviet has the strongest biplanes, they can hold rockets and everything, UK next best cos of its four 7.7mm's.

7.7s are best with ap. Use HE with the 20mms. Biplanes=food with HE

The biplane is made of wood, many rounds simply punch a hole through and keep going, expending all of their energy on the hill in the background. You are made of metal, all that energy is expended on you.

This game has been plagued with balance issues from the start.

never really took into account the material the planes of made of hmm... To be honest though any 20 mm should rip a biplane to bits. I use the biplanes from time to time just for fun and i personally think there a bit op compared to the non biplanes. The turn time on them is stupidly good once one is on your tail it is difficult to shake them using turning meanuvers.

Chances are if you're in a newer plane with the one spread wing a biplane is going to outmaneuver you and get hits on you. You can outrun them but they can get around via tricks faster.

thats why in a single wing fighter you out run bi-planes not out meanuver them

I have no issue evading bi-planes or tearing them apart in hurricanes, and they dont have cannons.
As a matter of fact it takes about 1 burst to take down a biplane.

I loved using biplanes THE MOST out of any other aircraft ... ( so far ) they are slow ( easier for noobs like me ) and fly low and are manuverable at thier top speeds.... and of course die very easily
