Is it even possible to counter Pantsir on cloudy maps?

Seeing as to hit a target i need visual, and to be alive i need to be sky high, Is it even possible to kill the pantsir or anything really through heavy cloud cover? I cant see through the clouds but it sure can. Is CAS even an option on the non russian team on overcast matches?

The clouds for me are a godsend. Ground thermals can’t see through a thick cloud so use them like smokescreens. Here’s the kicker, you can see through the clouds with thermals. So hide behind a cloud, thermal pod, look for the glowing mass. And fire a missile, albeit it’s not locked, but top tier SPAA players don’t move anyways. Then you’ll be called a cheater. It’s a win win

Guess I'm bad then, cuz i try and do that with the IDS targetting pod but its low resolution plus being so far away makes it hard to aquire targets

They changed that in a recent update, clouds block thermal cameras now (flying over clouds with the TRAM just leaves the screen white)

Huh I still see the glowing masses of tanks. Maybe you’re not using thermals and the base view of the pod.

Definitely looking through thermals, they glow white when there isn't a cloud there

Maybe its your graphics settings being too low or high ion know.

depends on the density of the clouds, but the ones in Air RB work exactly like IR smokes blocking thermals/guidance/vision
