Secondly if you have so much trouble fighting directly why are you continuing to do so. I couldn’t tell you exact numbers but I have killed a lot of them with torpedoes from things 2 or more br lower. My shimakaze deserves special mention for almost never having been used outside 7.0 and having a positive k/d against BBs ten times its displacement
The 1945 version of Haruna (in game) is much better then the WWI version. More armor and faster speed. Larger guns then Scharnhorst. She should be a good match. More citadel armor less Main Fire tower. As long as she stays beyond Scharnhorst torpedoes. Except Scharnhort main guns fire almost twice as fast.
I sink a lot of Scharnhorst and am sunk by them alot. They ammo rack many enemy and are not subject to being ammo racked very often.
Scharnhorst is not the newest BB in game (ignoring the premiums) USN Texas is newer, Italy has a newer (Texas at 6.7 and Italy at 7.0
Texas bigger guns better armor but 1/3 the fire rate.
I think the main advantage Scharnhorst has is her rate of fire. Perhaps the fastest 12inch or above in game. (slightly faster then USN Alaska) Also she has a really large crew (500 more then Haruna) Her crew size is a major reason she is so hard to kill.
All that just means there will be a top ship. Not an invincible ship
Kronshtadt has the best armor same reload speed as Alaska. Same size gun but the smallest crew among the three. 500 crew make a huge difference in survivability
I should add I don't think any of these ships are broken
Her citadel has the armor of a cruiser. It is her Achilles Heel. You just keep hitting it and kill her crew as they move there. (Till it turns black)
you should always run them at 4, never run them at one, anything with too shallow a draught to be hit at depth 4 is going to die to your guns very quickly
Far from needing 8 or 9 a single type 93 can kill anything in the game
I wanted to see the replay of 8 or 9 Type 93 hitting. It had to be arcade and not all at once. I picture it from less then 100 meters where they never have time to arm
