Whats next, lets add ads into warthunder and only premium, might get rid of them?
Most obvious reason is that it's not an MMO game.
I never see cheaters in this game and sure there's the odd person who isnt the most friendly but not something that needs to be adressed with something over the top like a subscription.
Frankly speaking, game even ain't worth it if they start charging monthly for it with the amount of effort it needs. Grow a backbone if griefing is just the main concern. Especially with the prices you've suggested. But if Gaijin was going out of business and shilling out like 1-3 usd a month was the price just to keep the servers running, that might be slightly more tempting.
But as they say, give them an inch, and they'll take a mile. They already make tons of money with the amounts of things you can/have to buy ingame. No need to add more.
And lastly, that suggestion's a nail in the coffin to the tons of f2p players that sometimes put in money in the game. A subscription based game isn't probably sustainable or appealing to the general f2p player.
EDIT: If griefing was also the main issue, I fail to see why we have to pay more money to Gaijin if they just did their job properly on a game that pays them already.
A subscription model would get rid of that aspect (although level-grinding would still be real).
While what you are talking about slightly derails my thread, a subscription based model which replaces SL and RP economy would be tolerable. I would much rather play top tier with adults who can easily drop 14 USD a month rather than teens and neets who grinded out entire trees by being able to play the game like a full time job.
