20mm Hispanos - Are they just inherently trash?

I've been a British main for years, just finished researching my 4th jet (Swift). I started playing German planes, and even at 4.3 their guns melt things that ALL of my Hispano-armed British planes would be LUCKY to kill. What is it about them that's so bad?

what belts ur running?
my spits have no difficulties killin stuff with ~15-30 rounds air target belt 20mm.
and tracer for mg`s.
50/50 I-T/API-T good for getting engines and so.

I do t play Britain much and didn’t like the cannonstang P-51 like many players seem to. The .50 cals are just better in my opinion, so I can’t comment too much on their performance. That said, I’d imagine they’d work better with AP ammo as I tend to prefer. Means you have to be able to aim, not just to hit a plane, but to hit specific parts of the plane. Players that lean heavily on HE or Incendiary ammo tend to be ones that just shoot a plane until it’s down and hope for fires. I’m a player that will fire a 0.25-0.5 second burst into you, confident you’ll go down as I know exactly where my shots are going and have confidence that the solid rounds I just fired will break what I aimed at. So I might be a poor example to compare to anyway.

Hispanos and I have a very troubled history, I have had moments where they are really good but then I have also had a massive amount of times where they just did nothing, I don't have a clue why they seem like solid hits on targets but nothing or very little happens.

Hispanos pack a brick-backed wallop but they're also wild sprayers. The thing I do when I'm playing with those is to really close the distance on whatever I want to kill to shoot at them from 500 meters or less, since it's english planes we're talking about and nothing will out-turn them except some wooden japanese planes that fold when shot with 5mm.

Hispanos are probably the best low tier gun now with real shatter changed.

my only hispano is on a us p-400 and i can barely ever hit anyone but when i do i usually 1 shot them so id say theyre a nice weapon to have but not to rely on
