What does the community think of the KV-1 Zis 5?

I'm going to be honest, this tank is pretty bad for it's current BR. It's not a tank that I've ever had problems facing against, and to be quite frank, it's simply not fun to play at it's BR. I play every nation, and although each nation has tanks that feel underwhelming, this tank takes the cake.

To compare it to another heavy at the same BR, the Churchill 7, it's armor is significantly worse, the turret traverse is worse, the gun is slightly better, but with a significantly worse reload rate. The KV-1 Zis 5 is faster, but tbh I'm not looking for speed in a heavy tank, not at the cost of armor at least. Idk, this tank feels terrible to play, what would the community think of removing the APCR to put it at 4.3?

There’s a 76 KV-1 at 4.7? This gotta be arcade cus I don’t recognize this tank by characteristics.

I find most KV-1 tanks are kinda trolly with their armor, but not that scary. I mostly play BRs under it, so I'm always in a 3.7 or 4.0 tank but can usually take them out just fine. With tanks of those BRs, they do pose a threat if the player is good and angles since their weakspots can be hard to hit and inconsistent a lot of the time.

I've never really played them myself though. Only Kv-1 I have familiarity with is the KV-1B or KV-1E.

It's the KV-1 ZIS-5, 4.7 realistic, foldered under the KV-85.

Frankly, I think the Churchill Mk VII should be 4.3 or 4.0. If the Churchill Mk VII were to meet a KV-1 one on one, the Churchill is doomed.

Why is there a 76 KV-1 at 4.7 when the 85 variant is at the same br… the snail doesn’t make sense… kinda your fault though, why are you using a worse KV-1E at a higher BR?

I don't use it, that's why I'm posting to see what the community thinks of it. I want to use it, but not when, like you said, it's a worse KV-1E (And tbh, it's worse than the KV-1 L-11 for it's BR)

Also, the KV-85 is now a 5.0.

I strongly agree with you, but I've had great success w/ the Churchill MK VII due to the armor thickness, whilst I've had very little success w/ the KV-1 ZIS 5
