Last week even before the update i launched this missile off F-4J and it dove down at about 60 degree angle. Seemingly going after a friendly jet that was below and in front. Instead of the target that was directly infront of me that i was locking.
Also year or two ago i fired the AIM-7F off F-4J and somehow it tracked and destroyed the wingman of my actual locked target. Which was really confusing.
And even on before this update, radars been really buggy. Have gotten PD to lock the chaff behind the enemy on head-on that makes no sense. Even unable to get ACM lock on stalled F-16, but when it deploys chaff it instantly get locked on the chaff.
F-14B radar locks it's laser designator.
Oddly enough on previous content update they did break F-8E radar and that one at least got fixed soon after.
Overall, I have the feeling that the rockets were nerfed and the number of negative target hits increased rapidly even with other rockets. Now I'm happy if one of the 4 R73 rockets hits. It is very easy to fool them with countermeasures even if they have IRCCM. Hitting from the front is almost unreal. I guess they were afraid of rocket spamming, so they nerfed the rockets. That's often Gaijin's solution, they add something and then nerf it.
I fired 4x R73 from the back to the right, distance 2 km and not a single missile hit the target. It was unreal before that. Another game SU27 flies straight to me for 2km, takes only one countermeasure, doesn't change direction, flies straight and R73 doesn't hit him, it's ♥♥♥♥.
Then I've seen Magic-1's purposefully evade their intended target without any counter-measures and flying almost in a straight line.
Maybe it's something to do with server tic-rate, maybe it's something to do with that particular enemies latency or maybe it's a bug. I don't know, but it's stupid and annoying.
