I still have rigged matchs. You can tell their rigged by going through the players and seeing their levels. only 2 lv100s on 1 team 6-8 on the other. newbies in premium tanks leaving after 1 death, forcing the lv100s to deal with a 1v5.
Ignore people who think level equals skill. Levels are gained by research. If I research USA air to level 100 and then play German ground my level means nothing.
You're right, I don't normally believe in conspiracy theories, but i do believe in checking for myself and recording the results. Since I made this post I've had 2 more games. Game 1 my team had 1 person at level 50+, the enemy team had 13 players at level 50+. Game 2 our team had 4 players at level 50+, the enemy team had 9. Will continue to check, because if there truly is no bias in matchmaking, these datapoints shouldn't stay this way.
No, you can get just as many losing streaks playing premium.
The game is rather aggressively datamined by it's playerbase and evidence of something like that would be on the front page of reddit.
You can also get losing streaks even when you git gud.
The main issue is you're never actually in a 16v16 match regardless of the number of players.
Instead you have, at best, 3 or 4 people on each team who carry everyone else and they're the ones determining the outcome.
Some of those players have thousands or even tens of thousands of matches so to get to their level can take a while for most people.
I do a lot of card peaking in battles and when I see a newer player I don't even bother looking at their win rate. Instead I look at things like respawns vs match count and kd/r.
Level does not translate to skill. Levels are gained by research points. Levels don't even mean playing time per say.
2 players begin War Thunder same day same hour. 1 plays air arcade 4 battles per hour the other plays ground arcade 2 battles per hour. The air player plays 4 hours per day 4 days per week the ground 2 hours per day 3 days per week.
The ground player bought premium account and a tier I premium ground vehicle and uses boosters every battle. (the 99GE boosters good for 10 battles) The air player is strictly free to play,
After 4 weeks which one has the highest level? The air with 64 hours or the ground with 24?
Ignore levels but look at players card it will tell you where they are most proficient. It lists results by vehicle and total battles in any mode.
The trick is don't buy premium on sale, that's fake premium. Full price premium gets you the matchmaking benefits.
Anyone can make a spreadsheet and document every single win and loss. When you have a decent sample size ~500, you make a chart and see for yourself how the wins are balanced out by the losses.
The matches are definitely rigged by adjusting what players you are teamed up with and face. Again anyone can do the math and see this if you're determined enough. Gaijin doesn't make a lot of things public knowledge unfortunately, so you have to test things yourself.
