No, you can get these crates for SL only.

It's the only thing I have left to use my SL for really.

If you don't put too much expectation into getting vehicles loot boxes can provide useful things like boosters, backups and even more silver lions. Some of the wagers are also useful.

I stop opening them when I have 2 days worth. They come in real handy when you also get new vehicles with update

Like other people said wait for the silver lion crates. May be a low chance to get anything decent but it's still a way to spend leftovers. People who ♥♥♥♥ on the price just don't have a surplus, which isn't exactly me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on other people for having low lions. I only have a lot because of a premium vehicle. (T-10A)
