Give the cannon fodder something to do
Add infantry or something for those players who have been unfortunately selected as cannon fodder (matched at the bottom of the rounds battle rating) to do in ground battles.
There are many cases where a player is matched into a game where their line up is hopelessly outmatched. Often meaning they have almost no hope of scoring any points in the game as the other tanks are all faster, stronger, and too well armoured for them to compete in combat or objective play.In these matches it is often more beneficial for the player to just return to base and not play.
Adding some roaming infantry to mow down with MGs or other minor objective would give these players an incentive to play the round, and more importantly give them some fun in a match where they are otherwise just there to be shot at by other players.

If you want infantry you should check out this: https://enlisted.net/en/

There will be no infantry in war thunder, they developed enlisted for that.

You misunderstand. I'm not suggesting playable infantry. I've played enlisted. I'm suggesting something for the cannon fodder/bottom BR players of a match to shoot at when there's no point shooting at the enemy players. The air balloons in some maps are an example. Something they can do to earn points to make staying in the battle worthwhile. Otherwise my recommendation when matched as bottom tier is to just return to base before the match begins and go play a different nation while you wait for your crew.

You'll make more money this way, progress in more nations faster, and have a lot more fun actually participating in worthwhile matches.

Do you not realize there are players just like you on the other side that you can fight? Also fun fact, a m4a6 sherman can pen a m1a1, challenger 2, leopard 2 all frontally if you know where to aim...meaning you can kill anything you see if you know how to fight it, and doubly so if you use your team.

I somewhat agree since in Air theres plenty of free exp tokens around, but I dunno how much it will work in ground considering the maps are bad.

I dont like it but its not very fair that just air has exp pinatas

Yes, like supply trucks, rear echelon vehicles, etc.

The m1a1 is 1 tank in a lineup of hundreds. Not every player having this issue is using an m1a1.
The power balance between +/-1BR is well known to be excessive, but it isn't changed in order to maintain lower queue times. There's no point trying to argue that.
But it's not a huge undertaking to give those -1BR players something to do other than attempt to hunt down the other 1-2 players in the enemy team of 12 who they can fight on fair footing without being spotted by the remaining 10 players. Or hoping they chance upon the rear of a higher tier vehicle without detection.

Those are great. I hadn't even thought of that.

70% of the players are cannon fodder. Most matches seem to be coming down to three or so players on each team that score the majority of the kills.

Wow you diddn't read what I stated at all...To simplify it for you, once you hit a battle rating of about 6.0 you can pen basically every single tank in the game frontally other then maybe 5, if you simply hit their weakspots. This directly translates to as long as you position better and react quicker in order to shoot first, and your aim is decent, you win every single 1v1, even if you are the bottom tier in a match.

I understand you now, but everyone who is cannon fodder always have the chance to GE boost forward, but a much more important question is why do you even continue to play if you die constantly i mean its skill issue at its very core, im having some major problems to tell you without offending you. If you are simply not good at all and only suffer maybe you should move on to something where you actually succeed and have fun with, alternatively you can move away from regular battles and have fun in customs, there are alot of people in custom battles and if you arent good at all is no issue here since there is no loss when you get destroyed.

Losing on an even playing field is a skill issue. Losing a fight between a tiger 1 and a tiger 2 is not a skill issue, it's a literal handicap. In that instance, of two equally skilled opponents, the tiger 2 wins.

Not offended btw. I just don't think skill issue is an accurate assessment. To give you an example, in an evenly matched BR game, I'll usually place top 3. In air battles I can usually maintain middle ground even when outmatched. But ground battles don't have the same playability for lower tiers.

I think as long as you slowly progress its not a loss at all, its just a rocky road but you will also reach the end in your own speed.
