I still miss that mode they tested a couple years ago that worked kinda like Battlefield's assault mode, capture one base, the next opens up, with an attacker and defender team
It was by far the most fun I had in ground battles, specially since it was not limited to 3 spawns but 5 if I remember well
I did miss this. I would definitely enjoy that type of game.
people didn't like them which is understandable since it was kind of confusing for a new player. I believe the spawn points would move also as you capped. which made things more confusing.
this is likely why people didn't really like them in the past, nothing was explained to the new player they were just thrown into a match given no instructions and let loose.
it's strange that many of the more interesting game modes are relegated to low tier.
the only diversity for air is in low tier arcade, after that it's just TDM.
I'd like break to be brought back but I know the response it will be given considering many didn't like it in the past. not only that, I feel people will complain that their map bans will lose more value the more modes are added. also knowing gaijin isn't likely to give us more bans they wouldn't be wrong in saying that.
If they could listen to the community once, for once. Like with the backlash we gave them before. It is possible they could listen again. Happy customers, bring happy results.
High tier Air battles are just big furballs of players at low altitude trying to kill each other with no real tactics outside of trying to catch people off guard with a random missile that may or may not smash your friendlies (Skill Issue lol).
We need some serious objective based game modes that require more then an average 3 minute attention span on a match.
I mean, even Heli PVP is gone. I miss being able to fight other players in a helicopter exclusive battle. Now its just PVE with less gains. Granted If you wern't playing Russia you pretty much lost I suppose.
Now with this new update "Air Superiority" just around the corner, high tier air matches are going to be even more missile slinging matches with planes carrying 8 - 10 AA missiles.
