getting multiple level 100 players in rank 1 servers
recently me and my friends have been getting multiple level 100 players in our low tier servers, as expected they demolish everyone. it's just not fun at all when the pros pick on the newbies...

Someone could get to level 100 with just planes, do you think they will suddenly have all the tanks unlocked or have the new trees that get added instantly done?
And again i dont need to play top tier, what if i want to play in a M24 or a Kv-1?
What if im playing in a squad with someone newer?
those "someone who want to try out new nation" usually have 40k matches in rb and 100+ vehicles in each nation
you cannot justify lvl 100 being at 1.0 it's always a seal clubber OR someone who showing of wt to his friend in which case he will still be a seal clubber but at least not for long because time to get to 3.3+ is about 4-10 hours of rb

it takes waaaaay to long to get to lvl 100 and in the meantime you'll 100% will have some premium 2.0+ vehicles from the events or other sources
I was level 100 when Italy was added, do you think i would suddenly have all the the planes they had?
What about later when France was added or China or Israel or Sweden?
And again what if i want to play a lower BR plane, tank or ship? Should i just never play the my german sherman that i payed for?
I really don't see any problem with level 100 guys playing at rank 1. I may get killed - so what ? This is an opportunity to learn and get better. They have the same vehicles. As long as there is no cheating, using ESP or some such - I see no problem here.
Complaining about skills of the opponents (as long as these are genuine skills, no cheating) is just lame.
The only way to get better is to play against stronger opponents...
Sure, there are issues in WT (I won't list those for obvious reasons) - but level 100 players is not one I would worry about.

Gaijin simply needs to implement ranking system where people cannot reverse back. Will piss lots of seal clubbers, but that's one way to gatekeep new vs new and experienced vs experienced. Though they can always make new accounts, at least BR 5.0 or what not are mostly safe since it'll take a while from new accounts to get there.

Forgive me for saying so - but this is a dumb idea...level 100 guys didn't get there by sitting on their a55es and complaining. No one prevents you from getting to level 100.
Is people's takeaway from CODs terrible SBMM that every other game needs it too? It's a dumb system, a game with a large player ecosystem needs varying levels of skill. There needs to be some people who do really well, and some people who don't. The good players pave the way for the bad players to get victories and capture points. I was playing reserve for a few days this week because I've been helping a noob friend grind a tree. Any sort of system that punishes or makes it impossible to play low tier if you're high level will inevitable hurt the game overall and not help anyone but whiny players who will continue to suffer from skill issues even with a SBMM system. People just need to be honest with themselves and admit they aren't the best, you aren't a streamer or trying to go pro. Accept your skill level, focus on having fun and in time you'll start to learn the best spots on maps and the place to shoot tanks. I have bad reaction speed in shooters like CS2 and I'm not the best at aiming, but I was still MG because I learned the maps, learned how people played the maps and was able to predict where someone would come from and already be aimed there. I only got really good at War Thunder over the last couple years despite playing since 2013 because I took the time to learn the maps, learn the best way to play each tank and most importantly stopped playing Germany and started playing other nations which means I learned how to defeat more tanks.
While lvl 100 generally means they have some experience playing, dont forget that if they are that lvl it may have all been in ARB or naval(jokes).. and hence really not that good at ground yet.

SBMM mode is the best thing that can happen to this game. Only seal clubbers would argue otherwise, sorry. Ranked mode is a staple in most competitive games, and this mode would facilitate that. Leave open for the people that still want to play open.

How to tell us you are incapable of rational discussion^

step 1: state your reasoning is without flaw and everyone following you will lead us all to a utopia where all is right with the world/game

step 2: state everyone that doesnt agree is not doing it because of actual disagreement with your flawless opinion but is [insert negative trait here] and doing it only to further [insert nefarious scheme here]

Has it occurred to you that others simply dont share your opinion because we think treating this game as competitive is toxic and we would be better off without this attitude, take a chill pill, have fun and stop caring if you lose a match and your stats go down. More experienced players are just learning opportunities

Just because other games are going down the gutter and trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator doesnt mean all should follow their downward trajectory, what this attitude has done to formerly good franchises like rainbow six is a travesty. Companies should be doing everything they can to avoid following these trends and instead innovating

warthunder is unique and has almost unprecedented scope and with that comes challenges when it comes to matchmaking balance, following the leader is not going to solve all gaijins problems because in their arena they are the leader and anyone elses solutions for completely unrelated matchmaking are going to be hack jobs at best when implemented for warthunder.

Even taking a single mode like air sim i perform wildly different depending on the role i take be it high altitude energy fighter, low altitude turn fighter, interdictor, low altitude attacker, high altitude bomber and everything inbetween, and these all change by BR so SBMM doesnt stand a chance. At best i can see it massively favouring particular playstyles and vehicles over others leading to horribly lopsided skill brackets where all the ju288 players get ghettoed and some poor saps have to play against nothing but an endless stream of them etc

I should've known better than to post this here lmao
Yup
Mate, although I agree with some of the comments, you'll find the same old people with same old comments replying to any post like this one. Many are toxic.
I stopped posting on here a while back.
I will say to you though in regards to your post, some people with experience like to play lower tier sometimes as it's fun and some, such as myself, love these WW2 era AFVs.
You will learn the hard way to get better at this game, just keep chipping away and you'll improve.

Don't you also see higher level players on your team as well? That doesn't make sense that the higher level players would consistently only appear on the opposite team.

Also, playing with friends puts you at an advantage that few get to experience in this game.

Stick together, and your group should do allright once you've learned the ropes.
SBMM would turn thins game into a sweat hell
at least now you still can have fun using type 87 RCV

No it wouldn't, it just wouldn't work at all, you are not ranked in CS based on your weapon choice, its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retarded, you haven't even thought about it, the idea just came into your dumb head and you wrote it down.

A little bit of SBMM wouldn't hurt the game, I'm tired of fighting people who don't know what they're doing.
well, there needs to be both, rather than what currently happens.

One mode should be actually random teams based just on what is being brought.

There should also be a more srs mode that is explicitly some sort of MMR system or whatever.

Right now im pretty sure theres a hidden MMR system, so its both. If you do well, you are then expected to carry worse teammates / face more uptiers. If you play poorly, even if you dont know it, you get better teammates/downtiers. theyll say theres no evidence, but thats a lie, just play the game and youll know it

You are playing a free to play title with microtransactions.

Things like matchmaking or map rotations for example are part of the absolute standard to actively encourage people to invest money in order to turn perceived disadvantages or unfair situations into advantages.

In free to play games with a progressive system, the so-called "worst case" is always the aim of the developers.

There is no evidence, what you have are anecdotes, a 'feeling' and the common mistake of confusing causation and correlation.

This is how all the utterly tedious and banal conspiracy 'theories' spread in the world. Do better or don't bother

Im a level 100 player for years i got 8 nations fully unlocked at rank8 groundbattles, when i started from level1 i got stomped by allready existing level100 players, i suffered a bit but i never quitted trying to get better and learnning the game, thanx to that i became a good player with a good positive stats.
Kids now want the easy way out and all for free without much effourt to do.
Level100 players doesnt mean seal clubbing , at certain hours toptiers queneues can be very long, so move to lower tiers when that happens, also we are not forced to play at top all the time.
I go many times from 11.7 to for example 4.0 or less, when im at tier2 as level 100 veteran i allmost of my games have to fight another level100 veterans on the enmy team.
Warthunder Match Maker is fine as it is, no need for changes at all.
And speaking about other online games is a waiste of time here , many now doesnt even let players to showup or compare performance stats, "cause that can hurt the others feelings", oh boy what a.....
