The best BR to play soviet tech tree is...

Hi there!

I wonder, what in you opinion is the best BR for soviets (and why)? What would the best soviet lineup look like?

You should take I to consideration the amount of available vehicles at given BR (if USSR has 1 vehicle at 5.0 it's not gonna be the best BR for sure). It is ok if you include slightly lower BR additions into your lineup (if there are two awesome vehicles at 6.7 and 2 amazing vehicles at 6.3 that can still fight at 7.7, it is OK to include them). You should consider matchups 1 full BR higher (if you consider 10.0 lineup it has to be good against BR 11.0 as well).

IMO, the rank III triple lineup of IS-1, KV-85 and T-34-85. And before you ask, yes, while the KV-85 is now at 5.0 it still has the same gun as the other two tanks. Coupled with its thick armor it should be able to do some damage at max BR uptier to 6.7 if you play it well.

Those three used to be sitting at the same BR, 5.3 across all of them, but then Gaijin changed IS-1 to 5.7 because of it's troll armor and KV-85 to 5.0 because I think it's the weakest of the three, even against a T-34-85 but those things could still do mean damages

6.7 is great if you have all of the IS-2s'

4.7 is pretty amazing. Great aircraft, great mediums, spgs and heavies. Only real lack is a light tank.

Loved em through the whole techtree.
Now i mainly focus on modern, but fun to go back to ww2 era sometimes.
Mainly playing simulator tho.

Anything above 8.3 and below 11.3 is absolutely hopeless garbage experience...premium ruined this BR bracket with ridiculous powercreep and spam...i would recommend the 8.0 T-54 lineup, the 6.3-6-7 IS-2 lineup, 11.3-11.7 T-90M/T-80/T-72 Lineup...and for heavy tank lovers i can recommend 7.7-7.3 IS-3, IS-4 mixed with some T-54 '47 and ZSU-37-2 and 57-2...weirdly i really enjoy fighting cold war tanks with WW2 junk that has 122 guns and the russian D-10 100mm is my favorite

III rank, sure, but what lineup on which BR? Rank III is usually quite packed.

1.0 sure, BT 5 is still good a few BR higher and there are other good tanks there.
What are your lineups on the rest of mentioned BRs?

So you are saying that 10.0 with 2S38 is a bad BR?

I am a pure tank player. I don't have light tanks or SPAAG in my line-ups. No aircraft too.

My 10.0 line-up is:
T-72AV (TURMS-T), T-64B, T-72B, T-72B (!989).
For this line-up, if it is an urban map, I would bring out the T-72B (1989) first as it is the best protected. This is my main silver-lions earning line-up. My T-72AV (TURMS-T) alone earned almost 5 million SL.

My 11.7 line-up is:
T-80BVM, T-80U, T-80UK, T-72B3
This line-up is still a work in progress. All the tanks are not fully modified, most are new, almost stock. However, they already have a 1:1 or positive K/D. It tells you how forgiving or beginner-friendly they are. And I am not a good player. I do have the T-90A and T-80UM2 but they aren't part of this line-up.

My 8.7 line-up is:
T-55AM-1, T-55AMD-1, T-55A, T-62
For a long time, I used this line-up to progress up.

My 3.7 line-up is:
KV-1 (L/11), T-34 (1940), T-34(1941)
I use this line-up only when I need to do a heavy tank daily quest.

I don't have a 1.0 line or rank 1 line-up anymore but I do have rank 1 line-ups for France and Sweden for challenges.

My most played USSR line-up and favourite would be the 10.0 line-up. Note, I don't own the 2S38 and I don't have the desire to get one.

1.0: BT-5 is probably the best tank in the game at this rating and there are more good vehicles here
3.7: KV-1 and T-34 (1940)/(1941), solid
4.7: ???
5.0: KV-85
5.7: T-34-85, IS-1, BTR-ZD, ISU-122S
6.3: IS-2s
6.7: more IS-2s
7.0: ZSU-57-2
7.3: IS-3,
7.7: T-54s, IS-4, ZSU-37-2
8.0: T-54
8.7: T-55s and T-62, Object 435
10.0: 2S38, T-72s, T-64B
11.7 T-80s and T-72s, T90M

Do you have any strong objections so far?

How about SU-122? I feel like this is exceptional vehicle, but nobody pointed it out. Is 2.7-3.0 a bad BR for soviets?

How about KV-1E and BR 4.0?

What do you think about BR4.7? What should be the lineup there?
