also russia sells many of its vehicles to everyone who buys them so its really hard to keep something a secret if you sell it to everyone

However in one case the armor package the Swedes tested, which Gaijin has used as a source for the Leo 2, featured much higher protection values than what's in game and was put on the SEP IRL yet in game the armor was never improved.
Plus there's still the issue of the glaringly wrong turret ring that's proven by even just looking at an actual Abrams.
