Unrealistic flight models
I've seen time and time again how when I enter a spin that the side moving forward has more wing left than the other. I get how a damaged wing could cause drag but when half the wing isn't there? How is the intact side always spinning forward. Not to mention how in sim I can enter a spin on the ground. An uncontrolled spin, one that I can't get out of without completely turning off the engine, brakes alone won't stop. So when I'm in the air and enter a spin and nothing I do to get out of it works... even when I have thousands of meters to work with... I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I can't be alone here.

some planes can get out of flat spins , others don't...you're not by any chance flying a P-400 or P-39 are you...

anyway. This game is a lightweight Sim only. I believe you get much better developed flight models with IL-2 and DCS.

Yeah if you fly the DCS f-16 (BMS as well) and then go to WT it is almost a joke. And most players are using keyboard and mouse floaty wack ass trainer crutch mode.

I believe way back when Gaijin in their infinite wisdom added drag to broken wings instead of removing. They did this to prevent people going faster than they were supposed to, which kinda makes sense in 2015 War Thunder. We've been left with that system ever since even though we now have planes capable of Mach 1.25 on the deck.

it was hilarious when a biplane with broken wings could exceed the speed of sound

Gets wing shotoff and can fly fine
Gets a single .50 through the tail
suddenly my plane weighs 9000 extra pounds and the engine has 5 horsepower

left side of elevator Gets scraped by 23mm APHE round.
is still intact, - light yellow structural damage
Right wing suddenly falls off and the plane goes into a spin that accelerates into mach 29293293 and implodes the plane
