Subs are still a long way off and I don't see them being introduced in Naval for at least another year. France still needs Coastal and like Italy, both nations are still lacking in depth in terms of 6.0/7.0 ships. Maps will also have to be balanced or even redesigned to accommodate such a vast change to the gameplay. Will they be able to cap points, where would they spawn? Adding a whole new element to the game isn't quite so simple.

That said, the event is a lot of fun and there is certainly a place for subs in Naval. I just wouldn't get your hopes up any time soon. Late 2024 or more likely 2025 at the earliest.
