TOG II prediction

Having seen the devblog plus a few of the usual Youtube CC vids today one thing occurred to me that I haven't seen mentioned so far.

The TOG II will be driven backwards

To me it's obvious. Although the armour at the rear is light, it has many slopes that the front armour lacks, plus a huge transmission and engine block that will soak up body shots. It goes as fast in reverse as forward too.

I've had the QF RAM for some time, and I can tell you that gun is good when you get your eye in, and that at 5.3.

Looking forward to getting this tank, it's a proper event vehicle

I don't really want to uptier everything else for a meme Tank, especially since they changed the Howitzer in Hull only to be able to fire smoke and HE or Smoke. Rip bonking open tops.

I would hope it would go down to 4.7 or even 4.3 given that most tanks can pen it frontally even at 3.7. The gun is nice and all but it's not an exceptional one by any means and it really isn't an outstanding tank in any fashion besides it being weird and potentially confusing to pen for new players at least.

I just tested the speed, it goes the same forward as it does backward apparently. That's one thing good about it ig.

Someone already did an armor test, it's not good backwards either. Should be a 4.7 so it won't face too many large cannons but still a handful of nasty things. It'll be a meme/rare vehicle rather than a meta/op one I figure. Although I expect it to be dropped down to 4.3 given the gun is nice and all but solid shot and unreliable at that. well to be on the other end of it, it seems hard enough to take down in a panther, no glaring frontal weakspots. a sturmtiger provides good antidote though to Tog spam.

I'm 85% certain this is a joke, as the Tog has absolutely piss poor armor and if any sort of shell with decent filler pens it you're toast. Although as a german main, I'm also 15% sure you are dead serious and it fills me with grief.

I'm 85% certain this is a joke, as the Tog has absolutely piss poor armor and if any sort of shell with decent filler pens it you're toast. Although as a german main, I'm also 15% sure you are dead serious and it fills me with grief.

The tog experience right now is fighting mostly german mains like this guy, slaughtering them like sheep while they shoot your most angled part, and then the one tiger or panther with enough brain cells to rub together decides to shoot the enormous turret and you're instantly out

Well I've just finished the final event star so I guess I will find out how good or bad it plays in a minute. Gonna pretty it up first though.

As I've got the new Brit M109 to spade, and 5 battles to do for Britain for a Battlepass challenge I might see how it goes at 6.0 for the lols

Yup, I'm spreading the word to people to just...♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shoot the turret. The turret is the weak spot, it's massive, little armor in comparison to most any tank at the BR. The tank is slow as balls, literal Maus speed, and yet people are proclaiming it is OP because it has one redeeming quality of having a good gun. I just get a kick out of seeing Tog 2s driving backwards and being obliterated because they lose all gun depression and get picked off.

The TOG II can go the same speed forwards and backwards :)

i see you have not met the archer TD built to drive normally but has the gun facing the rear so you have to turn around anyway.
