Russian tank destroyers, any good?

I just got the ZIS-30 and it seems very good from what I've played with it. Is the rest of the line worth pursuing?

best russian TD SU 152 and ISU 152 my opinion SU-122-54 its good better than Jpz 4-5.

The SU-76 is pretty mediocre, but the SU-85, SU-152 and so on are pretty good tanks.

The SU 122 can one shot enemies...Keyword: CAN, when the gun decides not to JAM . the reload rate = a turtle walking 200 kms. Basically the reload time is so big you can't....even....fire more than 20 shells a mach.

Add crap armor to the above, the SU 122 is a great tank if like sniping...from 500 kms....and failing.

For me one of the best Soviet TDs is su-100, mobile and good damage.
SU-152 is good for it's tier, SU-85/m is ok, ISU-152 is crap, ISU-122m - meh, very situational, su-122-54 is also quite good.

You should remeber one thing: all of them have crap armor.
So you can't just stand in the far away land shooting while not being damaged (like american/brit t4 TDs turtoise and t28 and german jagdtiger).

Guns don't randomly jam. That is, unless you forgot to fix your gun breech. Nothing randomly jams.

its decently mobile, has a good gun, shells often over penetrate which can, CAN save you and is quite low and stealthy good for SB, RB

top german TD used to be really good but because of heatfs they are pretty mediocore

Tank destroyer will never be as good as tank because you cant rotate the turret and since lot of action happens in close range around the corners now it's really big disadvantage.
You will never get the same kill/death ratio with it as with tank, only russian tank destroyer I actually use is SU-152 because it's great one-shot troller with its 152 mm HE.
Good example of this is my german Pz IV F2 tank and Stugg III F tank destroyer kill/death ratios, both have same gun but with tank I have 4 kills per 1 death ratio and with tank destroyer 2 kills per 1 death ratio.
American and british tank destroyers are different since most of them have rotatable turrets, but russian and german have mostly fixed turrets.
The new german Dicker Max is also fun thing to troll with despite its fixed turret because it has insane gun for its level with great gun depression and can turn on the spot quite easily.

Overall the SU-85 makes to be a very good frontline ambush tank or sniping from a distance, and if you are good enough you may as well do gargantuan damage by brawling against 4.7 tanks and below. The SU-152 & ISU-152makes very good as an ambush tank too, packing a mix of APHE and HE for penetration against any distinguished target (or only HE if you are confident) it also does well as mop up once an enemy has fired on an allied tank position. The ISU-122 makes best effort as an ambush tank and a sniper once you have good gunner and commander skills in order to get the 122s shot in easier, avoid brawling against 5.0 and above tanks as they will have little problem taking you out. The SU-100 plays similarly as if it was an uptiered SU-85 however its armor is outclassed in its BR as comparison to its 85mm brother, works well in ambush and sniping position (however not when stock, its accuracy is horrendous without a top notch crew and aiming modules). The SU-122-54 can be horrendous at stock without its much needed APDS and HEATFS rounds, however when it is achieved then thid tank can be quite fearsome indeed. Using the T-54 chasis, thid tank is very manueverable when its driver, commander and modules are intact. It does best as mobile support for medium tank advance, sniper, and of course ambush. The previous tanks before the SU-85 has a way with my patience so ill leave that to you

Anything above the SU-85 is pretty good. The tier 2 destroyer that i cannot remember is good for its tier as well. The Zis-30 has high power, but extremely low armor. That is to be expected when its back crew is completely exposed. The Su-122 is also a good tank, but when the cannon breach is hit, it tends to jam more often.
