The VRCC premium tank I paid $60 went from 9.0 a couple months ago to 9.7 since I bought it and every single other premium in the Italian tech tree also went up in BR.
Not like we can get refunds, so why complain? B)
It's amusing to see RU mains witness what has happened to many other nation vehicles. The French EBR's have been uptiered so much their guns feel like spaghetti. The 1954 went from like 4.3 all the up to 6.7. I played it a lot at 6.3 and it was good but I don't think it deserved to go up. Welcome to the club, enjoy your stay.
(KV-220 is widely disliked for how trolly its armor and reliable gun it has, much like the KV-1B and 1E at 4.0)
The issue you aren't seeing is that, at 5.3, a KV-220 can get downtiered to 4.3, where it verges on being almost unkillable. It has the hull of a Tiger 1 without the MG port weak spot, and an even stronger turret than a Tiger E. I think it being the same BR as the Tiger E or higher is entirely warranted.
What are you on about it has an MG weakspot and lets face it downtiers are incredibly rare. It is more likely that most of the time it will be at its max uptier. I am not even suggesting bringing it back to 5.3. At 5.7 it goes down to 4.7 not 4.3. The turret has massive weakspots, the mg port is a weakspot and the sides are weakspots.
You have armor unlike anything else at 5.7 with 100mm all over the vehicle and mobility compareble to that of a panther. Hell, as long as you angle the 220 like a tiger you'll be damn near indestructible.
In addition to that, you also have a very powerfull lineup with lots of vehicles at 5.3-5.7, meaning that you could solo carry a whole team IF you have a moderate amount of skill.
Anyone who has ever played the KV-220 would know this, and thus they would try to prevent it from going up in BR.
Heres a link to thunderskill showing the KV-220 preformance over the last month, the sample size for it may be a bit small but it gives you an idea of how powerfull it is.

if they delete its magic armor it can stay at 5.7
So far i would say the tank feels mostly the same as before.
Anyway I view the KV-220 as just a in-between IS1 and IS2 but if you know where to aim it just dies instantly.
