It is called target tracking.
Its not a auto tracking issue, its literally due to gettign too close to scenery and the 3rd person camera thinking your aiming at the wall near you etc..
Also target tracking does not work in Ground RB because you need to have the enemy targeted the same way in Ground AB but since its RB that feature is not there for realistic gameplay.
Speaking of the same kind of thing happens in naval battle where the impact indicator never aligns with where you actially want to aim
That being said, there is an option in the settings that allows you to lock the gun to current location while using the look key. Toggle that on, and when you use the look key, your turret and gun will stay in the exact spot in relation to your tank. This will allow you to aim down, and at the angle needed to shoot when clearing the corner so the gun doesn't kick up. It takes a little getting used to, but helps tremendously in city fights when you're tight up against a wall. You can set your gun to a relative position to take a shot as soon as it clears the side, then just move out and fire, or move out and sniper aim.
