Is war thunder a 'freemium' game?

I find the gameplay fun, and enjoy playing it with my wife and friends.

The definition of the game doesn't effect that.

At higher tiers, it is going that way. Especially after the last attempted economic changes. Lower and mid tiers are still reasonable.

It's why I'm not spending a single dime and just waiting to see what happens.

I had a friend take an ARB match at 4.0, 4 player kills, 6.6k RP and 18k SL for 20 minutes.

That's pretty depressing for a 20 minute match and a decent result.

I'm F2P earned my self KA-50, XM-1, seasonal Battlepasses, etc.. without spending in the game.

Game provides a way to earn premiums and its quite decent and not that too tedious. Just do crafting event atleast 1 vehicle, sell it in the marketplace. Get yourself your premium. Rinse and repeat if you want more.

I hope they fix the game's economy, what happened these last few days was a total disrespect for the players.

I've been a player since the beginning of the game, I really like "WarThunder", but what's happening with the game's economy is discouraging, even worse is seeing the responses and attitudes of the admins... regrettable... I hope that portray yourself as bringing a significant improvement to everyone in the game!

Honestly, as much as I'm fine with buying premiums, i already have a few and was planning to pick up more long ago before i essentially stopped playing, at the same time, I don't want to feel punished for playing tech tree vehicles.

Premium vehicles should be there to speed up a grind, not mandatory.

Playing for 20-30 minutes to receive less than 20k SL and less than 8k RP is really not acceptable.

The event vehicle strategy is viable, but only if 6-8 hours of everyday grind for almost 2 weeks and then waiting for a year to get a decent selling price is something the person actually considers "not too tedious".

If you play for 1000h then you'll get enough free vehicles it wont matter.
First BP free-vehicle you sell on market and use to buy GE, then you buy battle passes and sell the second-tier vehicles for 40-60$GJN. Each BP you get a bonus tier 2-3 premium for warbonds.

If you struggle with SL and aren't a good player then simply getting your daily logins will give you enough to improve your progress. Every 2wks you get a pack with some 150-500% boosters and wagers, every other 2wks you get a roll at a free premium or up to 1mil SL if you're lucky. Since this is a PC game daily logins really shouldn't inconvenience you any, just start up the client, alt tab while it loads, and claim the login and alt tab+close it. Free 20 battle-pass levels as well for claiming all the daily logins.

Everyone whining doesn't want to play 3-5months to get their first couple FREE premiums. If you can't commit 5 months to a game to get a 10,000GE payout that you can buy a dozen premium vehicles with, then play some other game that's less grindy.

In theory, you can eat the snail. In practice, the snail will eat you.

I'd say being able to log in and play a game for 300 straight days for free is pretty alright.

300 daily logins, not 300 days of playing. Most of the days actually played spent playing vehicles I don't want just so I can afford playing the vehicles I want for a few matches, if we're going that way.
