vr support
so i was looking into the vr support for this game and what i dont understand is why anyone would do this. you would need to buy peripherals or find a way to use mouse and keyboard with it and to me it just makes much more sense for them to give you hands so you could use the vr controllers like their your hand. that way you can grip the stick or press the buttons within the plane to operate it. i know this isnt dcs but that would actually make vr seem worth it for this game to me at least.

I personally already have a VR sim for DCS, and some other games. i have tried to play WT in VR but it is horrible. unless you are a perfect typer, you constantly press the wrong buttons. honestly, if you really want a VR flight sim that is less complicated as dcs but also the arcad-y style of WT, try VTOL VR.

War Thunder doesn't even have clickable cockpits.
You can't click the buttons with the mouse either.

i know and its not like the game is dcs world but they have bindable buttons for alot of the features inside the cockpit depending on the plane. i dont see why they didnt just add in a basic feature that makes the buttons useable and give you simulated hands for vr to use the buttons and play with the cockpit joystick. i dont see the point in playing vr sim or realistic with a peripheral joystick just so you get better head movement. in that case id rather just get peripherals and play with those and a few monitors or even just 1

Cool concept, wouldn't work with standalone though. Soon as I look around, my hands get lost by the headset as they're now behind the headset. That would happen quite a bit, when in a combat situation.

Just use the radial menu if you can't access kb or don't have enough buttons on your stick.
People should also realise what the bumps on their keyboards are for, like on the F, J, and num 5 keys.

What?
Using any HOTAS you have 99,99% of the controls on it. You don't need the keyboard or mouse. I mean i am not the typical VR guy but i also tried war thunder with my quest 2 and t16000m. Having that rookie setup (and setting the controls properly in the settings) you are good to go even on jets with advanded radars

They're going to create a separate game for VR motion controls
