more gaslighting from gaijin
australians have faced internet discrimination for decades and is always marginalized. how many as*an servers are there? LOTS. how many australian servers? ZERO. smh
There never have been any Australian servers ever for the game.
Tell me you have no clue what you're talking about without telling me you have no clue what you're talking about.
Singapore server used to be good. SA ping is alright but so many days where you just get game after game of half the team not being able to spawn for the first few minutes. Multiple people in the chat asking if its just them, random numbers of each team able to spawn and cap before others can even select a vehicle.
Often go through weeks of just preferring a more reliable but higher ping US server than sit spectating players till i can finally spawn in at times, although after a 30 secs or so you realise the issue and just take the crew lock.
Had that a few times yesterday. If I get a ping of 150ms it's generally alright, but when it's north of 200ms I tend to play very defensively.
I know the game has a sizable and active Brazilian population, and I'm sure there are folks in at least South Africa who play too, and can imagine their ping times being comparable to Australia...
I imagine Australia to be in a unique position. From what I recall from reading game legal blogs early in my college years (mid to late 2000s). They had some pretty harsh laws for game devs there over the years. I could imagine with some attitudes loosening up there maybe it might become justifiable for more games to set up a server there.
And Col Kurtz I am fully aware of what has been going on. I have been Tech Mod with the game for 10 years and I live in Australia. It is you who apparently is 'clueless'. :) I also work in the IT industry in Australia(and even get to guest lecture at Uni's on the subject!) How about you? :D
