I'll give you one warning though: Minor nations (Not USA, Germany, Russia) tend to be "worse" than other nations in general and their vehicles are over tiered and have high repair costs for no real reason. You will suffer, but Japan has some pretty interesting and unique vehicles especially during the WW2 eras. They aren't very good at high tiers though, but they have a fun low and middle tier!
some of the trees like UK and France are absolute hell starting out, while i would argue in the long term they will make you a better player you lack the shells to easily one-shot-kill targets, you have to actually know your target, where you can penetrate, and systematically take them apart which is not new player friendly
then there are the real minor nations like japan and sweden, while they are perfectly usable if you can identify the good vehicles the lack of options leads them to be frequently overlooked so its mostly older players that use them which comes with the expectation those players are above average and have a deep reserve of silver lions, while not universal these nations vehicles can be ruinously expensive to repair for someone making rookie mistakes
Like others said, the Big 3 is a good place to start
USA is for the most part a jack of all trades-nation. Having light tanks, mediums as shermans for days, couple hevies and tank destroyers. Cons is that it doesn’t reallly have alot of hevies, except 75 mm jumbo sherman and 76 mm ridiculously overtiered jumbo, until late war hevies and unlocking your 7th sherman isn’t very exciting.
GER I would recommend first, as it is a bit more forgiving and interesting with alot of diffirent tanks since you have powerful guns and lots of armor, but you lack speed and light tanks for the most part.
Russia, diverse, focuses on mediums and hevies alot, with not many light tanks. They also have horrible AA and little to no gun depression, so you struggle to fight in terrain with alot of elevation.

I actually felt like I did pretty good with UK. I started doing Germany, and then moved to UK pretty early.
US, USSR, or Germany are better recommended. China too as its sort of a sampler tree of US, USSR, and in the first two tiers, Japan.
